There are precise rules on what gets put before MPs to vote on in the Commons.

I'm pretty sure that "anything they like at any time" is not featured in the list.

Let's start an online petition to get the matter debated then.

How would giving Parliament a vote on the terms of withdrawal be 'at odds with the referendum result'?

Because they will vote to not trigger article 50 EVER. It's a stich up - just you watch Brexit will never happen - the politicians will win and we will will be shackled to the EU forever. The EU is just a way off by-passing democracy.

Nonesense. Doing the best for your family given the situation whilst doing your best for all to improve the situation are both honourable actions.

Away with your sanctimonious finger pointing.

I didn't hear about you refusing to take money from the house buying immigrants before, that you howl about now.

Your argument swings right back between your legs.

Listen to the Evan Davis broadcast, it's only halve an hour. I foresee many benefits from totally free trade, you see many clouds

Free trade only exists if the other party agrees to such a deal. And it's only truly "free" if neither side is paying for tariff-free trade.

Lol, I just asked the owner of the Offy next(ish) to my office this very question.

He explained that there are French vineyards that are entirely geared to the British market. Trying to re-calibrate to say the 'growing' ex communist states would mean a massive hit, as wine is sold there at a fraction of the UK retail price.

He made a point I hadn't considered; He says a tariff only applies to the factory gate price and thus imported inflation he thinks wont be all that much. Not sure if this is correct.

Give it ago, I guess only the future will tell. Only 15% of French wine is destined to the UK which is anyway down from previous years. On the other hand UK imports most of its wine from France, then Italy, then Spain, so either Britons will need to fork out more to buy it or will strike some great trade agreements with countries down under and buy it from there.

You make it sound as it'll so simple, as there will be no other options but for these countries to comply cause otherwise they will make financial suicide though when the UK does exactly the same it's not financial suicide.

Europeans politics and business work very different from what works in the UK...

This point was regularly made by the remain camp during the campaign. I believe that we will have to contribute but only time will tell.

not one EU country has said that existing expat UK people can say.
clearly being held as negotiating cards.

Only one country has explicitly referred to them as negotiating cards, ours.

None of the other EU countries have said anything, because there's nothing to say yet. They remain welcome in the EU. It's only us that seems to have a problem hosting EU citizens, remember. Everyone else is smart enough to take their tax income :)
