    I think the supermarkets are being cleverer about how they go around price reductions. I've noticed in my asda store they are reducing end date meat to £3.33 per pack when full price is £4 or 2 for £7.

    So even though its at the end of its life your only saving less than 40p off full price per two packs of meat, on what would only be chucked away at the end of shift anyway. Quids in for them

    It's pretty easy. Most companies never just sack people they'll suspend them when it comes to theft. All the employee has to do is resign. I makes it both easier for them as they can then get anther job easily (because they weren't sacked from the last one and can make up some excuse for leaving) and employers don't have to worry about legal implications of getting things wrong when they sack someone.
