Congratulations, you've earned a free Kindle Book!
You've qualified for this redemption because you purchased a Kindle Book, purchased a (physical) book or registered the free Kindle reading app recently.

I received the same offer. There are only 6 books you can choose from. These are listed when you click on the "Redeem now" button.

please can I ask has anyone done a passport renewal lately?
Just doing OHs now and trying to figure out if he needs a counter signer. It says you need one if you are not recognisable from previous passport photo
OH did his photos yesterday and he has his glasses on. I've just looked at his previous passport and he does not have his glasses on so would that count as being noticeably different???
previously we have just done renewal passports for the kids for the youngest and eldest and the middle one got his stolen and had to have a replacement. all three needed a counter signer and OH gets his work boss to do it and that is where the issue comes in. Even though he is a bloke of normal intelligence he either makes a mistake on the form or even worse he cant get his signature inside the box without touching the edge
we always do check and scan, youngest son needed to do new photos because the backs were not signed correctly. Eldest sons form was rejected 3 times because of these issues - it was a week of to-ing and fro-ing from the post office and the works office - as soon as OH came back with the form first time I knew it was not acceptable - I even said to OH tell him about not touching the edge of the box
I suppose all we can do is take everything to the Po and see what they say. And also OHs boss is still away for another week or 2 and he will be jet lagged whenever he does get back so it will be another week of rejected forms
I wear glasses, but was told I had to remove them when having my passport photos done a year ago, as apparently you are not allowed to wear glasses anymore in a passport photo.
Edit: just found this on https://www.gov.uk/photos-for-passports/photo-requirements
You can’t wear sunglasses or tinted glasses. You can wear reading glasses but your eyes must show fully through clear lenses without glare or reflections.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

The photos will get rejected if he is wearing glasses. As it's all about the eyes.
No he doesn't need a counter signatory. Only if his appearance has changed dramatically since the last photo
Counter signatorys are only needed for Under 16s, changing from child to adult, lost or change of appearance.
Dead easy - fill in section 1, 2, 3, & sign the back & date.
In black pen, capital letters & inside the boxes.
No more than 5 mistakes allowed.
Black in the box if a mistake is made as scanner won't try & read it.
Fill in the card debit page in booklet & enclose - £72.50

I've filled in the form now and I am quite confident that its all correct but - as we suspect if we will need the counter signatory who then has fill in section 10 and sign his name correctly - well this is in the lap of the gods
just seen the bit about the photograph - it says you have to write
I certify that this is a true likeness of Mr Joe Bloggs - then signed and dated - all in a tiny square
might have to do an example sheet that they can copy and fill in correctly
JUst wondering now about another person who might do this bit - he is an Australian but he now has a UK passport“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

there is no reflection or glare in the glasses so I am not sure now, I think we will have to go and ask, the PO lady is very severe - this will be the 3rd trip to the post office this week“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Just wondering now about another person who might do this bit - he is an Australian but he now has a UK passport:):) You don't need a counter signatory if he looks the same but with glasses. (with no glare & you can see his eyes clearly)
A counter signatory can be anyone who has known him for at least 2 years, has a good job or retired & has a current UK passport.
