please can I ask has anyone done a passport renewal lately?
Just doing OHs now and trying to figure out if he needs a counter signer. It says you need one if you are not recognisable from previous passport photo
OH did his photos yesterday and he has his glasses on. I've just looked at his previous passport and he does not have his glasses on so would that count as being noticeably different???
previously we have just done renewal passports for the kids for the youngest and eldest and the middle one got his stolen and had to have a replacement. all three needed a counter signer and OH gets his work boss to do it and that is where the issue comes in. Even though he is a bloke of normal intelligence he either makes a mistake on the form or even worse he cant get his signature inside the box without touching the edge
we always do check and scan, youngest son needed to do new photos because the backs were not signed correctly. Eldest sons form was rejected 3 times because of these issues - it was a week of to-ing and fro-ing from the post office and the works office - as soon as OH came back with the form first time I knew it was not acceptable - I even said to OH tell him about not touching the edge of the box
I suppose all we can do is take everything to the Po and see what they say. And also OHs boss is still away for another week or 2 and he will be jet lagged whenever he does get back so it will be another week of rejected forms
I'm in the process of doing mine, the only thing that's different is my hair colour. I'm going to send it without a countersignatory
They'll reject it with glasses on. I found a new Sainsburys local on Saturday in the middle of Chester :j - actually its been there over a year but no one told me
both of our nectar cards have 200 points for buying something so I got 2 CDM for £1 each - as an experiment of course
just waiting to see how long it takes for these 200 points to be added on - reminder put on the calender and the receipt marked accordingly
this morning I got an email asking if I would complete a survey and mostly it was the standard shopping questions mostly to do with Sainsburys local and for this I get 200 nectar points.
OMG it took 15 minutes to do :eek:
even if you are doing something mind numbing like watching paint dry no survey that takes longer than 5 mins and no survey that only gives you 200 nectar points is worth doing :rotfl:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. afternoon
still having a nightmare with VW over my car repairs  they don't want to price match even though it says they will on their website & now want the courtesy car back today  i've phone VW CS & waiting for them to get back to me as no where on their website does it say we'll only price match if we feel like it!
so stressed at the moment
hope everyone else is having a better day/week:beer: Happy Bargain Hunting!! :beer:0 -

yes I think its inevitable that we are going to need the counter signing  - unless OH can think of someone else who can do it then its going to be another week at least before it goes off.
I think forms should process quite quickly now but when we get into Feb with people doing last minute applications before half tem I think it will slow down again.
let us know how long it takes to come back“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
I have returned from my shopping trip.....
went to M and picked up a free Aveeno daily moisturising lotion using the £2 coupon from the caring everyday website.
They are currently offering a voucher for £2 off anything in the Aveeno range and the 200ml daily moisturising lotion is reduced from £4.95 to £2...it took a bit of finding but its a good sized freebie if your M stock it.
went on to T where I did also find some of the dark bath mats...thanks Tiny or Snap...I cant remember who found them but for £1.50 each I picked up the last 2.
and then I had a melt down at the reduced counter of all places...over a pack of chops containing 4 and the remembrance that we are a family of 3 now....frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Morning all
Grrrrrr @nect@r
I used my card twice in nov and twice in dec as I had preloaded my card to get extra points for doing so.
With all this talk of nect@r, thought I would check my account (don't use nec much). Anyway, needless to say the extra points aren't there. So I contacted them via their chat line and they are telling me I am not the main account holder and to ask the main account holder to contact them. How do I find out who is the main account holderwhen I thought I was
nectar are a nightmare for me. Everytime I load extra points to card from nectar site and use it I have to note it down because inevitably it will not get added and I have to contact them.
Chat and phoning routes me to India and they tend to repeat what I've just told them or just log into my nectar statement and try and tie in the points I'm owed with any points that match (which ussualy belong to points from a coupon used instore)

Or for your issue contact sainsburys and tell them what you are being told-probably the best option:A NI FEIDIR ACH LE DIA BREITHIUNAS A DHEANAMH ORM0 -

Never mind I can always take them back :rotfl::rotfl:
I got them in store last time about 8 sets as no one knew they were in the sale but still lots in stock as they have been added late this year.
When I unpacked the box they were in for 2014 xmas I kept smelling something really nice and had to sniff through the boxes and eventually opened those 2 and found I liked them both. :rotfl: So I gave all the others as gifts.
I also have one Beckham aftershave set left as couldn't gift that this year as all the men got one year before. :eek:0 -
