All is well as I got at least 8 appearing items on each shop.
I went a bit overboard on this one though didn't it? 11 different items appearing! Although I actually paid 4p after the APGs were taken off. I managed to get them to scan myself, then the SS randomly voided some off:( and wanted me to pay over £4! I then managed to work out which ones had been voided, for no apparent reason, and went through the whole process with them again:(. What a faff, but never mind shop worked well! Didn't need the Broccoli (also N/A against M - the collectors are as useless as me!) or the Ginger. I was making doubly sure I got enough, as didn't want one of those sweets to fail on me and not appear. I wasn't sure if both Stripes would appear. I chickened out and didn't dare to do another shop in that small supermarket so I drove a little way from there up to the road to the superstore.
8 items (7 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda morrisons 1x Wham Raspberry Flavoured Bar (16G) £0.10 N/A 0.01x ASDA Loose Broccoli (PER KG) £0.01 N/A 2x Finish All in 1 Original Dishwasher Tablets (22PK) £15.96 £10.00 0.15x ASDA Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (PER KG) £0.10 £0.10 1x Swizzels Refreshers Chew Bar (SINGLE) £0.10 N/A 1x Giant Strawberry Stripes (1PK) £0.10 £0.10 1x Haribo Starmix (1PK) £0.10 £0.10 0.09x ASDA Loose Carrot (order by number of carrots or select kg) (PER KG) £0.05 £0.06 0.01x ASDA Loose Ginger (Please check weight when added to basket) (PER KG) £0.01 N/A 1x MAOAM Sour Giant Stripes Cola & Lemon Flavour (1PK) £0.10 £0.10 1x Barratt Flumps (12G) £0.10 £0.10 Comparison total (compared products only) £16.51 £10.56
+£5.95 cheaper
Shop was 4p more expensive at S and W than M. It was the much more expensive Ginger for Sains and the lack of comparable items vs W that did it. Apart from the Finish, only the broccoli and carrot comparing (on those quantities at same price) against W - must remember it for next time!:rotfl:0 -

Evening
I don't suppose anyone has seen Mens mittens anywhere for a reasonable price. DS2 never, ever complains about being cold but he has asked for a hat and gloves today. I have drawers full of both in here in all shapes and sizes so I found him a hat no problem. 2 hours  of trying to teach him to put gloves on has just ended in sheer frustration. It's something I've been trying for years but it's not going to happen. His fingers glue themselves together as soon as his hand goes in the glove
I've looked online and the prices are  Chances are they won't last the winter before being lost anyway so I'd rather not pay a fortune.
In other news, I rang up about my test results. Appointment Tuesday to discuss. That works for me, I didn't want an appointment before the end of this week. I didn't like being poorly with the infection and everything but my body has enjoyed a rest from the chemo and I'm in no hurry to start the next lot next week. So this week, for a few days anyway, I'm infection free and not feeling like a sack of spuds from treatment. I got out in the garden today and it was utter blissthere was no one here so I got stuck in and got loads done. Spring bulb pots are all tidied up, pesky weeds that shouldn't be growing at this time of year have been eradicated and I planted some early salad.
And QT is back.....happy days!0 -

Anything would be suitable that didn't require finger separating :rotfl: I can't write a description that does it justice on here. The minute the glove touches his hand his fingers snap together and won't budge. It must be a sensory thing. He has hands like shovels  hence the need for a mans size.
I also had to tell him off tonight about sweet wrappers in his bedroom. He's so tall I had to put my head at a 45 degree angle to make eye contact. it really does affect my authority :rotfl:0 -
Have you looked on eBay? There's a few different fleeced ones for about a tenner.......To do is to be. Rousseau

Thanks. I'll have a look. Still £10 for a pair of gloves  I'm. not used to laying anymore than £1 or so
This has actually been a useful exercise in a round about way. OH and I have taken the decision in light of our circumstances to put DS2 'on the radar' so to speak. That is to contact people who he might require help from should he have neither of us to look after him. It wasn't an easy decision but we both decided it was a right one.
Anyway, this sort of thing is exactly the sort of basic need that he can't manage by himself....keeping warm. There are many others, like feeding himself, clothing himself.....all very basic things but things he struggles with without help.
things we provide without batting an eyelid but would be devastating for him if he didn't have them provided.
Eeeee, it's been a very thought provoking process0 -
QT quote " We have two degrees each, between us". So you both have a degree then??“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
