FROGGA - It might be 'business' to your DH's boss, but your DH works for personal reasons like looking after his family and keeping a roof over their heads - that's not 'business'. Let's face it, none of us works for the love of it, do we? I left my last job because my boss was such a bad employer; we had to take a drop in income but my DH was more concerned with what it was doing to me than the money. Your DH is a man of principle and well done to him (and you). It's definitely a good idea to talk to your mortgage company and the bank - much better than letting things get behind without informing them. You sound like the perfect wife and your encouragement and support is probably giving him real determination - what a great team you make!

Trying to get back into term time routine in time for next week. Not doing bad today got up ok but have been doing everything slowly. Plan of action today is more paperwork, pop into town for banking and a couple of bits, ironing and some housework. DD may be going round a friends later and if so OH will take DS out. May well go myself - will see how I do.
Its quite nippy now in the mornings and evenings - I love September and October though - also can start having log fires again.
Not sure whats for dinner - think maybe chilli.
Have a great day.0 -

Gee, thanks AUSSIELASS - just reminding us that your cold weather is coming our way and we didn't get much of the warm stuff either! In fact, I've saved myself a job and never did pack the winter stuff away! Kept needing it!

Smokey and julia -thinking of you both.
Hi to everyone else and hugs to all who need them.
Im slowly getting back into the swing of the early mornings again, i got up when dh did this morning again and i didnt feel to bad, feeling positive about this due to kids going back on tuesday.
Made a start yesterday on sorting uniforms out, all of it now been washed just needs ironing, have named everything and packed the pe bags ,so just need to get motivated to iron everything!!!
Had a bit of good news yesterday as dh got his payslip and is getting quite abit more than i budgeted for as i forgot he had done overtime last month! So means i can pay extra off the debts!!
But dh did get run over a work yesterday!!! He was backing a lorry in to the yard and its brakes failed and dh was pinned between the lorry and another car!! Has made a mess of his legs and he said it is quite painful but insists hes ok, it has been put in accident book and the bi**h that is his boss came to see him to check he was ok (more like she was checking he wasnt going home or going to sue the company!!lol)
I had to laugh as it could only happen to dh!!! Iv told him to go and ask about next years hoilday whilst she is worried about his accident as everyone put their hoildays in whilst he was away and all the kids hoildays have been taken, which is fine put most of the people who have taken them dont have kids, wether he does or not we will have to see.
Right off to make a start, have loads to do including emptying the pool and putting it away as dont think it will be out again this year!
Have a good day

Good morning everyone
Had planned to have my last lie-in of the holidays today but I woke up at 6.30 and felt refreshed. Lay in bed till 7 then got up, showered, cleaned the bathroom, tidied my bedroom and put washing in WM. And all before the time I had planned to get up. :j
Thank you everyone for your kind wishes re DS. He phoned me last night (DS and DD are staying with XDH this week but I will have them during the day while he is at work). All of a sudden he had developed a temperature and headache and XDH didn't know what to do. So, he called Mum. To be on the safe side I called our local Primary Care and spoke to a very helpful nurse who advised taking ibuprofen and paracetemol. Must have worked as he hasn't been back on the phone. Will be happier when I see him this morning though. Poor soul has the orthodontist this afternoon though. It will be agony for him if she starts poking and prodding so I hope she goes easy on him.
DD is coming into w**k with me but it's only for four hours and boss's DD will also be there so they can chatter away while shredding, filing, etc. After that it's the orthodontist and the library and maybe M&S to see if they would consider offering DS work experience.
JuliaP hope all goes well today.
Good luck too to Smokybabe and family
frogga what an awful company to work for - they must have a serious loyalty problem if they treat employees that way. Hope you find some way to manage - well done for agreeing with DH.
dlb hope your DH is ok - I would be tempted to get him checked out though to be on the safe side.
Off to make my sarnies for lunch - turkey salad on wholemeal. Will make a fruit salad for DD and I to share too. Poor DS is on soup. No idea what's for dinner yet but it will be something from the freezer. Will go have a look now.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Morning All,
Crossed fingers for JuliaP. Sorry to hear about the troubles Frogga - you seem to be in the wars somewhat!
Not much news here. Yesterday I filed & tidied a bit upstairs in prep for painting today. Dust up my nose! Decided to start walking daily to boost health and try to shake blues so did a 3.5 mile round trip to buy free range eggs at the next village. Somehow on the walk I've pulled the muscle just above my knee! Great start!
Watching ebay tesco voucher sales with trepidation. They finish today. I hope they make more than they would save me in groceries!
Take care all, Off to read yesterdays thread.0 -

And <hugs> to anyone else who would like one or who needs one.
Up early (for me) as the Miele Man should be here after 8; it's taken then weeks to get my part in stock!
A lovely crisp day today. I'm going to make some lemon curd I think, and then a Bolognese which we'll eat tomorrow (always tastes better the day after. We've had so many tomatoes so the freezer has plenty of passata now. A couple more batches and we'll have enough to see us through to next year's tomatoes!
Washing on, hope to be able to line dry it.
DH home from the folk festival, but is now getting ready to do the Cannonball Run Classic (London to Spain), so he's got to see whether his DJ still fits (very unlikely!) as there is a formal dinner at the end. There is also a rumour that he and his partner are going to go in costume as the ean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr characters (They dressed as priests). I hope not. Trying to sort out costumes for several days of driving is going to be a nightmare.
I was hoping he'd finish laying the "terrace" before he goes, but that isn't very likely now. All the stone is cut and placed, it "only" needs cementing in, levelling, and then grouting (or whatever the pation equivalent is). Never mind, it'll still be here when he gets back.
Have a good day everyone xxxx0
