Site was down around 2.15am so went back to bed by 2.50 alot OOS not that I really want or need anything. Wont bother going to shops later as only buying because its on sale. TBH still have stuff from Jan 2014 so need to not get caught up in the hype really, but good luck for those who go.

Totally agree - oh well at least I have saved myself some money!
  • I happened to have a quick look and the website was up,checked out the stuff I had previously put in my basket and was checked out in a few minutes (that has never happened to me in the 11yrs I've been doing it)
Only got a small shop and I think I will be returning the Ted Baker Kingston bag, will have a look when it arrives. Also bought a set that wasn't reduced,so will return it. The Police perfume set was reduced by 70% so got that. Not going in store I have few to buy for these days, good luck to those who are.

I only wanted 3 things and when I went to check out at 3.10 they had been removed from my basket.

They still don't say sold out but the usual Boots, click the add button and then it says now sold out !

Oh well, I didn't need the 3 items so I have saved some money, I have a hospital appointment this morning in town so I will pop into store when they open at 8.30am just in case ;)

Not seen much online but at least I know the sale is on. Now I have 2 hours to spare before I get the bus to Cambridge to get to the store for the 8am opening. Hopefully only looking for mens and unisex stuff will work in my favour. I can also go back during my lunch break.

been to my store tonight and *hid* the things i really want, just hope no-one else finds them:D

I convieniently shuffled a couple of items under some calendars too. The staff were putting more stock out last night though and the layout seems a bit different to previous years - they've got displays of 'normal' stock gifts in the middle of the Christmas aisles; so I'm hoping It's not all been condensed down when I go this morning.

Good luck to everyone in store this morning hope you have better luck than those who tried the website. I've never bothered with the website for 70% day; too unreliable.

:( I have been doing the boots sale for 7 years and look forward to the whole experience on their sale day, setting my alarm, checking the website for when it goes live, chatting and reading every ones comments during the late/early hours, grabbing a few bargains on line etc.
But this year, has been a let down. I know it's not guaranteed that what I want will be available, but like a few have said, Boots has loads of items that is saying in stock, but when you click, it says out of stock or not added to basket :(
Boots should have sorted this out, after all these years.
Hopefully I will have a better experience in a couple of hrs when I go in store and hopefully get the few bits I would like, for my teenage son.

  • Disappointed nothing online for me.

Or maybe if there was it's sold out now?
  • I really did intend to pass on going down today - last year was dire with just one section of a shelf full of tat. But somehow I have been talked into going down by DD! She's been texting me since 5.00 when when neither of us found anything of interest online and she has ground me down! Picking me up at 8.10!!. I just hope it's worth it this time! Hope there are rich pickings to be had where you are!
