This is my first year and I've been following the thread since it started. I'm probably going to ask a stupid question, but can you add stuff to your basket earlier and will it stay there when the discount goes up to 70%?

I go back years with the 70% sale, and have to agree that it's not what it was. Last year I was too ill to go, and had been really looking forward to this year. But I'm not up to the scrum, and had resigned myself to missing out.

But....my kind husband is insisting on going on my behalf with a list. Can you imagine what he will return with?

Anyway - the helpful thing I noticed is that palettes by Sleek (some £7.99, some £9.99) are currently 2 for £10, which is less than the Soap and Glory palettes will be in the sale.*

The Sleek palettes were in the Sali Hughes Best Buys under £20 list.
*my mental arithmetic is out by 20p, but you get the idea.

Good luck to everyone who braves the elbows and trollies. And even better luck to anyone who dares to try to move a trolley!

The best i have ever gotten at the 70% sale was when went into a small boots for my prescription but complete chance that day and got 4 great no7 gift sets which i hadn't even seen for sale in the bigger shops before christmas. Hopefully there will be some hair stuff

Site is on holding page first time I've ever sat up for it!!
I went to Bexleyheath last year, I thought it was fine. Now Bluewater is a different story! hundreds of trolleys and grabbing. As for Crayford, there's always a couple of ladies that seem to work as a team, they grab everything and then take themselves off to a corner and go through it all!!
