Does anybody happen to know if Soap & Glory make up or fragrance sets will be in the sale? I was lucky enough to get a S&G big set in last year's sale so I'm still getting through that but the I'll Be Glammed set is tempting me (if it's included)!

My local store is Nottingham Vic Centre if anyone has been in today :A

i was in on sunday, but not today - there were S&G big sets and other toiletry sets of theirs, but no make up or fragrance.

I'm really miffed. I've gone off previous dates of 3rd Wed after New Year, when it should actually be 3rd Wed after CHRISTMAS so I've booked NEXT Wed morning off work in error. Well miffed! Logistics of where I'm working tomorrow mean I'll only be able to get to one crummy little store. And that's only if it opens earlier than usual. 😞 Last year I lived near 4 mahoosive Boots, all within a 15 minutes drive of each other, got all my stocking fillers for random long distance family members in one fell swoop.

Anyway, I've been given the secret nod and wink by a Boots Sales Assistant this evening. Well, more of an excited smile through a clenched mouth, a slight nod followed by a whispered "I'm not allowed to say". Whoo hooo its on!!
That's a shame. I have pointed out before that despite popular belief it's not always the 3rd Wed in Jan.

Is anyone else playing 'bingo' with Kat's boots law. :D

I went and checked out both my large town centre Boots and my nearer outlet store to see who had the best stock. A suited and booted manager was looking warily at me. I didn't have anything on me to stash any shop-lifted goods so I just assume he was looking to see if I have my mse username tattooed anywhere. ;)

With all due respect you're post was not clear. Also the SA was probably talking rubbish, its always been the 3rd week of January. The idea that Boots head office have changed their plan based on 1 store is stupid.

strictly speaking with tomorrow being the 13th and there being 14 days in 2 weeks....we haven't actually reached the third week of January

but anyway, hope everyone gets what they want tomorrow. my local were condensing everything, and compacting everything really close together.
  • Has anybody noticed at bluewater if they are opening early again please

Before I go to bed (cos my online basket is empty) let me just put the voucher codes link up again:

Good luck to everyone attempting the online sale, I hope it starts relatively early for those of you staying up :)

This is my first year and I've been following the thread since it started. I'm probably going to ask a stupid question, but can you add stuff to your basket earlier and will it stay there when the discount goes up to 70%?
  • I've been trying to add items to my basket, just to see what I actually wanted, and half the items had a strange error, even though they showed as being in stock. I'm guessing that means they're out of stock? Very disappointed in what is left :( still, I'll get up early anyway ;)

Thanks for all the info everyone!

  • Hi in the past any items in the basket have been emptied at midnight or historically when the website crashes - but its definately worth a try. Good luck

Does anyone know if I'm able to use a double points coupon as well as a 150 extra points with £15 transaction? I'm rather new to using the vouchers so I'm unsure if they stack or not haha

Yes you can use both but don't expect to get double points on all the points, you only get double on those over £15. Plus it isn't an extra 150 points it is 150 points for spending £15, so actually only an extra 90 points.

  • It's been a couple of years since I took part in the madness that is the Boots 70% sale, but on reading Martin's spiel about it I'm confused.
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/boots#bootssaleboost

    He says:
From Wed 13 Jan, you can get up to 70% off Christmas gifts and fragrance gift sets in Boots stores ... snip...

Then: The up to 50% off gifts sale will continue online at Boots* while stocks last.

This sounds like the online stuff won't go down to 70% off??

    It's only a game
