My local doesn't have 70% off signs up after closing but then it doesn't have any 50% ones up either. Popped in an hour before closing and loads of stock of big gift sets now and at least 6 other ladies scouting out the shelves and not buying anything...the staff weren't even bothering to man the tills...they seem to just know we were all just looking today. I don't really want anything in particular...my store doesnt have the extracts Id usually go for so will just go at lunch and hope to get some Dove for my mum.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Peace and love dude.
We're all here for the same reason, lets not fight so early on in the evening.0 -
defo tomorrow signs are up and someone took a sneeky photo on Hot Deals UK. Bluewater putting out all the stock, there are loads of Champneys basket sets which were £60. Two pallets. Loads of lots of things, but I guess the same people with their organised gang mentality, will take 4 trolleys, block an aisle of either end with two trolleys and fill the remaining two trolleys with EVERYTHING on the shelf.
I really do think that they should have a maximum number purchase and ban the use of trolleys. The year before last the manager of the store was actually videoing it on his mobile phone.
I love the adrenaline rush of a bargain, but hate the rush. The blinds open up and people are limboing underneath them because they can't wait for them too open!!
There was hardly any childrens toys and hardly any food type items, i.e. jamie oliver sets etc. lots of smellies kits, one pallett of the £50 soap and glory sets by the roller blinds - so happy limboing everyone!!!Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160 -
With all due respect you're post was not clear. Also the SA was probably talking rubbish, its always been the 3rd week of January. The idea that Boots head office have changed their plan based on 1 store is stupid.0

Can i ask those that moan about people blocking off the aisle, why don't you move the trollies?0

it was myself that didnt understand what was meant by losing and as i dont rely on predictive text myself i would'nt assume or know that losing actually means loading so sorry i dont understand all corrections or mistypes of predictive.so no I am not a genius and never said I was a genius.
As for the sale being on the 20th its never been that late on in past few years and has always been the 3rd Wednesday after xmas and not the 3rd Wednesday after new year. This thread has in fact been going on Martins pages for many years and Martin's emails usually show this sale.2013 wins...angry birds knex.0 -
To the person who said I don't have English as my first language or I'm not reading what I am writing, I am SCOTTISH and I am fully aware of what I posted. The sales assistant told my daughter and I that their branch is no longer owned by Boots and that they decided to have the 70% off sale tomorrow and others followed suit. Meaning that the date was changed from the 20th to the 13th. To the person who said they don't understand what I meant by losing the shelves, it wouldn't have taken a genius to work out that I mean loading and it was a simple mistake (predicitve text) I think it's terrible that instead of saying cheers for the confirmation, several of you picked holes in my post. Martin has now confirmed what I have told you. I was trying to be nice and helpful and instead came back on and read insults. Thanks for that everyone!
well i thank you. people are obviously getting their anger ready for tomorrow mornings fight club at boots!!Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160 -
Does anybody happen to know if Soap & Glory make up or fragrance sets will be in the sale? I was lucky enough to get a S&G big set in last year's sale so I'm still getting through that but the I'll Be Glammed set is tempting me (if it's included)!
My local store is Nottingham Vic Centre if anyone has been in today :A0 -
Can i ask those that moan about people blocking off the aisle, why don't you move the trollies?
because the women who are NOT small and rather scary stay with the trollies and refuse to move and tell you to FXXK off, resulting in anger and fighting and barging. They take bout 30 seconds to do the whole aisle with four in the middle with two trollies and one trolley either end with a person with the trolley. It is a pack mentality and it is very intimidating. Nothing that a taser wouldnt sort out!!:rotfl:Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160
