As two bargain queens our top tip is to visit your local store the evening/day before to check where the items are which you wish to purchase. It saves time and helps you to make a clear plan of action

Reading through some of your posts, I agree that the bag charges in boots are high! I paid 15p for a large blue boots bag just before Christmas!! Remember to take your own and using a cross body bag rather than a handbag keeps your hands free to carry more goodies at the end of your shop :j:j

One of my colleagues was at our local Boots on Sunday and asked a chatty staff member if the sale would be starting soon? She wasn't expecting an actual answer but the young lady told her it would be Wednesday of this week. :j

I had a walk around a large store yesterday with lots of full shelves and I've got to say I struggled to find anything that I would even want to pay 70% off for. I think that on Wednesday most items will be down to around what they are actually worth imho. Am I missing something? The Boots sale is not what it used to be.

I do agree that a lot of it is overpriced to begin with (they must factor the 3 for 2/Star Gifts in) I tend to go mainly for the larger gift sets, and I freely admit I cannot imagine paying full price for them. I had a look at the sanctuary home fragrance set last week(not online - larger stores only) which was £40 full price, even at 50% off it doesn't seem worth it to me. At 70% off, I'll be getting one (if I can ) but I wouldn't pay more than that.


Anyway, I'll be casing the joint later on. Hopefully, there won't be too many people around as I normally take a few sneaky photos on my phone so I can remember the layout.
