    Thankyou, I feel very spoilt.
  • There was me feeling very smug because everything is sorted for Christmas, DD told me at 9pm last night we had no wrapping paper 'again'. DH had used it all wrapping my presents but hadn't thought to mention it and both children still need to wrap all of theirs for people:mad:, so there I was thinking I would have a quiet Christmas eve not having to go anywhere and I now need to do a 12 mile round trip to buy bl**dy paper when I was in both M&S and £shop yesterday and nobody thought to mention it:mad:.

Chill, it will all be fine, it's Christmas and in the words of Elsa ' LET IT GO'.
  • Wrapping paper bought I dashed into the co-op as it was the first shop I came to.

DH got a phone call asking if he could go and work for a mate for 4 hrs 10-2pm, someone had called in sick this morning and his mate couldn't get any of his other staff to go in. DH did ask me first and when he said he would be paid £100 I literally shoved him out of the house.
DD is also at work today, so just me and DS at home and he is currently playing xbox so all is quiet.

Pudding is made for tomorrow and I've taken sausage out of freezer for breakfast, decided on a full English breakfast hopefully it will see us through to mid afternoon when we go to MIL for Christmas dinner.

This morning I have started my list of goals for 2018 -

Meal plan every week and shopping list. I have set a grocery spend £100 a week this is high but aim to make it less, I thought it would be better to have a high budget that can be reined back than a low budget I struggle with and get disheartened. Anything left at the end of each week will go into savings.
Amazon vouchers used to bulk buy washing powder, dishwasher tablets etc to hopefully keep grocery spends down.

I'm giving myself a monthly allowance of £50 to spend on myself as I wish.

Clothes challenge of £250 for the year for myself, I do need some new clothes as whilst I have been debt busting I have made do as much as possible, but I don't want to go mad, I'm also going to convert nectar points to ebay vouchers to buy bits I need.

TT everyday by rounding bank account down, even is it is just pence.

Keep ebaying and whatever made is sent to savings. Same with survey money. Any pre paid cards from surveys paid onto DS school dinner account.

Book Summer holiday in January, then we have something to look forward to and will also need to save spending money, so will children. We are thinking of spain self catering in a villa. As long as there is a pool and wifi kids will be happy, I will be happy with a pool and some good books to read.DH will just go with the flow.

Keep cooking from scratch and baking, limit takeaways to 1 treat a month, take packed lunch or leftovers to work.

    Meal plan for this week-

    Mon - Christmas lunch.
Tue - HM soup and rolls
Wed - Sausage, mash and veg.
    Thurs -Italian Chicken and pasta.
Fri - Rst pork, rst pots and veg.
Sat - HM fish chips and peas.
    NY eve - buffet tea.

I hope everyone reading has a wonderful day tomorrow. HAPPY CHRISTMAS XX
