    what a clever idea, clickerty-click!

I've used up fabric & thread to make a new liner for my laundry bin - not exciting, imaginative or beautiful but very useful, lol.

Every one has been really busy.

    I've managed 39/500

Went through my ribbon boxes and tidied all of them and three some bits away that either did not spark joy or were just not going to get used.

I still have some mammoth tasks to sort in my craft room - but I'm still plugging away at stuff. Haha

Still need to make some more pencil cases - which helps tidy as well as use up stash.

Managed a few more this evening while my fella cooked tea.

Emptied out 2 pen / pencil holders and put stuf in a Pencil case. Also sorted out a load of pencils I can take out when working have a new job that once all the DBS stuff is sorted will mean I am working with children. So as I sorted and sharpened I chucked a load out too.

    Slowly getting there.

Green tiger love your relined laundry basket, very smart.

Folded covered and embellished more books over the weekend and finished them off today so that 6 more items completed. They will all go to the CS at the weekend.

Sewed together 3 more prem hats last night so another 3 to add to my total.

    24 items completed in total

  • No total set but reading all that you good folk are accomplishing has inspired me to revisit my mess of a sewing room and actually use up and finish stuff. Still a long way to busting the stash but getting there one tiny baby step at a time! Thanks to all...

    I have succumbed.

We have had bad news at work - all of the service managers are being made redundant. They were told via email - and I bought a magazine. (£6.99). For me this is a coping mechanism - to stop me relying on other mechanisms that are less healthy... This took years to learn - so unlearning may not a good idea. The next level down are meeting tomorrow - and people from head office Oxford are coming - so we're fearing bad news.

I have been offered another job pending DBS etc - but need to get a start date etc.

I may have to build in a contingency management fund for this. (Was a one off this month - which is a vast improvement from spending at the end of last year)...

It could have been worse - and will move on from here...

I'd like to join again this year. Hopefully with more motivation to actually get crafting rather than letting everything just pile up around me...

I think I should keep a notebook of ideas and current projects to spur me on!

  • Sorry to hear about your job nimbo. Fingers crossed all goes well for the new one.

Four more greetings cards completed using my stash of cross stitch fabric and threads, odd freebies from craft magazines and papercraft stash - six now in total. Have had to buy supplies of double-sided tape and some card blanks, but that will allow me to carry on using up what I already have. I've made a list of everyone I'll be sending cards to this year, so I can plan ahead and make everything in good time.

  • I have not been a regular on these forums for a while (so busy getting my Tarot reading business going), but happened to see this thread on the email newsletter.

I have been having a major declutter of my craft room for over 3 years, since we moved into the farmhouse. I have got rid of a lot (through donations and sales) and have cut down a huge amount on what I have purchased, but there have been a few small stash shopping trips (most recently when our local craft shop was having a sale). Everything was seriously reduced, and a lot is meant for my planner/journal, but I still felt guilty when putting it away in my craft room !

I will definitely join in with this challenge. I will not set a particular target, but will give a regular update on the projects I am completing (I really need to do some journalling/scrapbooking and digital pages for frames - and I need to top up my supply of cards ready for charity donation). I will also post details of any significant removal of stash from my craft room.

This month I have donated a big pile of sewing magazines and patterns, several bags of papercrafting magazines, and just about to post off a big bag of needlefelting wool and foam pads to a lady via a Konmari group on FB.

Will read through the thread later. Ponies/donkey/guinea pigs/cats need feeding/settling for the night!

Lovely to get involved with like-minded crafters.
