    31 out of 500 completed.

So added another pencil case / make up bag for my desk at work to keep a pack of paracetamol and bits in that are useful. It has small scraps of fabric as bunting seen on. It looks ok. Used up bits and a zip etc.

Finished off a free project from a magazine too. Not too bad.

Still small things - but it's all chipping away at stuff that needs to get sorted.

I need to dig out a small freebie project I can hand sew on the train - and then make myself a project bag to carry it in haha.

I've managed to use up some denim that's been knocking about for ages and zips - I have a massive stash - because a local haberdasher always has An offer on - for bundles of 10 or 20 when I need one. Making it seem wasteful not pay the £1 for the bundle when one is the same price. I just need to get it into my head - who needs a drawer with probably 50 zips in it? haha some do have specific purposes - for dresses etc. One day I may get round to actually cracking open a sewing pattern.

All the makes are looking great. I'm trying to keep a proper notice this year as I kind of went off track last year - not wanting that to happen this year.

    Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

The hats are tiny little things I can knit a couple in a night, it's a pattern I got from the hospital. I keep going till I have a decent bagful and drop them in when I have to take mil down for one of her appts.
With the patchwork once I've got the sewing machine and the ironing board set up its easier to do a run of them, the way the instructions in the mag are set out you make 9 then but the White sashing strips on. Then depending on which squares are completed I get to sew some together. I've got to make 90 in total then it's the wadding backing and actual quilting. I may be some time on this project!

  • I'm still quilting!

Took a couple of days off to go and visit my mum :). Am about half way through now woohoo!

Also found vouchers for favourite sewing shop still stashed in the back of my purse from Xmas. :A So will use them to buy binding and a few extra reels of cotton as I'm running out of white rapidly.

I won't go into shop without the following... Shopping list and husband. Shopping list to remind me what I actually need and husband because once I've put the bits in the basket he'll refuse to let me linger over anything else!

But well worth it in the end. It'll be an heirloom!:)

    Hi

Could I join this year again. I would like to do 52 items used up which would be one per week. I think this would be doable if I would get off the computer looking at ideas and inspiration and actually make things!!!!

    Morning all
    Welcome masie
Did a bit of patchwork yesterday morning and made a start on a Christmas stocking kit I picked up at the boot for 50p last year
No crafting last night as I was babysitting DGS and I'm busy all day today, hopefully get some done over the weekend as its looking like it will be wet and miserable out.

    Have a good day all.
