Morning all, hope everyone is well.

Today I plan to minimise a bundle of odd pieces of tapestry wool by making it into a couple of instant smoothie hats - there's not enough to do anything else with it but I hate throwing good stuff away.
Think I'll make a veggie lasagne for tea making do with what we have in.
Not sure if I have any mending.

    Morning.
MissTara - it can be challenging to keep MMM when life and work gets busy, but I have found that things I had to concentrate on doing when I first considered MMMing now come more naturally, so I am making progress.

A working from home day today, so hopefully will get some bit done around that. It's sunny here at the moment so a load of washing is in.

Will have a raid of the freezer while waiting for the kettle to boil for a cuppa later to find something for tea.
Have minimised a tube of body moisturiser- cut in half there was plenty for today.
Found out that I have won some garden vouchers from the RHS for a photo I posted at one of their events, so I am thrilled as I had reached my garden budget this year already!
Mending - less for us, but I am altering costumes for the production so that saves the drama group money
£400,000 starting Jan 2020 current end date Aug 2041 I would love the end date to be 2027 but will aim first for 2037.
    1% target £4000 so far £20 paid

The dishcloth knitting square looks pretty good I wonder if you could use string instead of cotton yarn a ball of string would probably work out cheaper and fairly tough as well what do you think ??

    Hi,

I remember knitting a string dishcloth at school, (50 years ago?). Seems sensible to me!

May need to join in your thread, as it seems much more creative and inspiring then the decluttering threads.

    Hi All,

That hadn't occurred to me Jackie O, although I think it would be painful to knit?! (Thinking about the yarn wrapped around my fingers). Also think this might tip my family over the edge in terms of thinking I'm crazy - it's bad enough I knit dishcloths in the first place!:rotfl:

Wasn't here yesterday because there wasn't much MMMing to report... Have just minimised some lentils into soup and made do by using cumin seeds (hand crushed) instead of ground cumin in the soup.

Hope everyone's having a good day!

I have a large ball of white thin twine that I thought I might use up, :) don't use a lot of string these days and its only sitting in the cupboard. My family know I'm a bit batty anyway so they would just ignore it :):):) Nowt wrong in using up the resources you have .Cotton yarn is quite pricey to buy sometimes ,although if you see it in a charity shop it might be worth buying some.

From memory serena my mum used to use 1/4 elastic long enough to run down each sleeve with the glove just appearing at the bottom then She used to catch sew it along the back of the neck so we didn't get tangled in it or risk them slipping out.

I hung out the washing this morning as it looked sunny with some wind - two hours later the heavens opened and I had to drag everything back in

A relative came up for lunch who lives a few hours drive away. As she is vegan I was quite worried what to cook. Ended up with a starter of butternut squash and mixed peppers soup with a huge salad of mixed leaves, peppers, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, celery and sliced raw mushrooms. I also cooked vegetable rice with peppers, onions, celery, tomatoes, mushrooms and cannelini beans.

We had a lovely catch up and discussed her upcoming house move as well as showing her the new bungalow I moved into recently. I even managed to find the juicer I wanted to give her as I don't use it and emptied another packing box. :j

A helping of the veg rice is now in the freezer for another day and some soup is in the fridge as well as some salad for tomorrow which will have ard boiled eggs added to it. Shocked by how much weight I have put on in the last two weeks so today is the start of eating healthier.
