    Evening

Everyone has done really well in Jan. I have cut down loads, only bought the two pairs of jeans (and the 2nd pair only because the first ones were too big) and I didn't buy that dress which I probably wouldn't have worn but desperately wanted. Hope we all do equally as well in Feb.

Woo Checking in to declare NOTHING spent on clothes :D

Going to stick a few bits on the Bay next week and will stick that in the bank along with my £100 for not spending this month :)

As I am going for 5 months this year with no spending I am pleased to say only 4 more to go ;)

    Mav x

I'm going for 6 NSD this year. I have decided that February is also going to be a NSD as well whilst I am very focused. (I do have £60 worth of vouchers if I crack but I am trying to save them for Jeans and summer clothes). Mav are you going to join me on a second NS month. That will then give you £200 to spend later on today n the year. Also this month is only 29 days so it will be 2 days less painful then January.
Any one else who want to join me for a second month please do.

  • I'll join in for a no spend February. I really shouldn't need anything for a while. I'd like to keep saving up the budget for a bit longer. Def aiming to buy fewer bits of better quality this year.

  • I did it! I managed a no spend month - first one ever I think :rotfl:

Well done to everyone who got through dreary January without a spend. Also well done to those of you who spent something because I can tell by your posts that you are really giving it lots of thought.

Happy Imbolc to you, time to celebrate the first signs of spring. :T

No spend Jan for me too, although it was jan when I went sales shopping with DM who treated me to a few bits as a post-Xmas treat so I'm not sure I've really passed the test. That said, I wasn't really in the mood for shopping when we went so I only got a couple of bits, one I've worn a lot, one is pj bottoms - always useful, and one is a casual shirt I'll get wear out of in the warmer months.

Prob going to treat myself to those leggings tomorrow, and although I was going to try and made do with my slippers as long as possible before they become dangerous, I'm not 100% I can't smell them a bit now too...oops! Prob where they've been worn to pop the rubbish out and the path has been wet so they've got wet, rather than me having smelly feet....honest!

Well done to everyone this month, I think jan is a hard one, at the beginning we're still largely off work, then there's a million sales, the temptation to get something to cheer up those grey days, then the temptation to treat ourselves when pay day finally happens at the end of the month as a 'reward' for making it through Jan.

I'll join you. I was hoping to not spend on clothes until March, but I've just had to buy a new iPad case (mine was starting to fall apart) and a DVD (a film I've been wanting to see for ages in Mr T's for £4.) Enough treats I think, so I hope to last until April without clothes spending now.

I also hope to stick to the £20 in any month (not carrying over), so no spend months should mean that I come in under budget.
  • Alright, bought my PJs and replacement ankle boots on fleabay just now. Total £20.98

PJs are fleecy with top and trousers AND a sweater. And has a penguin on it. So I call that a bargain. 2 tops, pair of trousers, and a pair of boots for £21? Pretty good, pretty good.

98 pence over my "20 a month" but I was £12 under in Jan so I'm still £11 ahead of myself ;)

Ok Ok Ok I will give it another go this month Gem-Gem as you say at least its shorter than last month which seemed like a year :rotfl:Everyone is doing so well and even those who are buying are really thinking about it and also getting some brilliant value for money :D

So here goes another month of not buying as Rowan Moon says I dont think I have ever not spent for a whole month :eek:either !

Did have a nose around a couple of Chazzers today but to be honest my hearts not in it as I am thinking about this challenge and everything I like I think I have one like that and mine is nicer :rotfl:So am I a changed women ? No I doubt it but I am thinking very hard about this and I really dont need anything :o So while I am feeling like this I am going to make the most of it ;)

Good luck to everyone this month and lets try and make it as good as last :T
