Popped into the only chazza shop in the village yesterday, and it was so busy with folk looking for a bargain!:)
Nothing for me. I didn't even get a sniff of anything for myself.
So, I haven't spent a penny on clothes this month, but tomorrow's a new month!:DLiving a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

I've ended the month with the following additions to my wardrobe
5 Polo Shirts
1 Storm Jacket
1 pair Storm Trousers
1 Cagoule
1 Fleece Jacket
1 Baseball Cap
1 Woolly Hat
and I'm still waiting on the arrival of 2 pairs of Cargo Pants
But none of them count for this challenge, as it's all work issued uniform :T
Outside of that lot the closest I came to temptation was a pair of Merino base layer trousers in A!di today. Decided I've coped so far with the two pairs I've found in the house (sure I have a third somewhere), and assuming my work contract gets renewed in May and again in November I could well be a smaller size by next winter - so came to the conclusion it was better to wait until then to splash out on any more if (and only if) they're neededCheryl0 -
Woo Checking in to declare NOTHING spent on clothes
Going to stick a few bits on the Bay next week and will stick that in the bank along with my £100 for not spending this month
As I am going for 5 months this year with no spending I am pleased to say only 4 more to go

Declaring a no spend January here. I'm staying away from shops but doing a lot of browsing on line and pondering what I really need to plug wardrobe gaps.
I am being sorely tempted by the idea of hiring a personal stylist to go shopping with me at some point as I really don't seem to have much of a clue when it comes to clothes. I've found someone who is really reasonably priced but it feels very extrvagant to be considering it.MFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.140 -

I hired a stylist to ( wardrobe weed ) She went though all my clothes every single one and helped me fill the gaps and go shopping with meIt was worth every penny in my book.;) Saved me a lot of money in the long run as I very rarely make mistakes now with what I buy.
So I would say save up and go for it

Thanks, Mavvymoo. I feel I waste a lot of money by panic buying in shops. I think I really need someone to be objective about what suits me and give me some guidelines. I'd love to have a stylish capsule wardrobe but I'm not sure I'll ever be that person- think I'm one of nature's scruffs
