Hello Fabbers, I am so happy, as I have lost my 1st stone in weight. :j I am going to concentrate on losing 1 stone at a time, so that I do not feel overwhelmed at getting to my personal weight goal.
I am going dancing tonight so I am planning to paint my nails to match my burgundy sleeveless velour M & S Autograph vest top with beading and I will wear my Phase Eight black velour and satin skirt with my black velour jacket. I have a matching handbag that goes with my vest top and I will wear my black patent Van Dal sling backs.
Tomorrow I am going to visit my oldest son and daughter and my grandchildren in Andover. So I will spend the whole day with my 4 children and grandchildren. Really looking forward to it. My eldest son paid for the day return train tickets as my Mother's Day present.
On Sunday, I plan to have a lovely lazy, pampering day for Mother's Day, then get dressed up and go off to Karaoke in the evening, so all in all I am looking forward to a really enjoyable weekend.0 -
Have a lovely weekend everyone.
I'm not very fab at the moment - had a really busy day yesterday and I'm tired and achey today so I've done my errands and had a walk with the dog and am now having a bit of a rest. I'm just in jeans and a fleece and no make up (:eek::p), but will fab up a bit later as we're out to dinner - having said that though, I'll probably go for smart jeans and a top rather than anything overly dressy.
Have a good weekend everyone0 -
:T on seeing off that stone sugarbaby. It's a good idea to set mini targets, not so overwhelming.
I do hope you have a lovely time with your grandchildren. I know Andover well, worked there for years and even lived there for a short time. Love the way you co-ordinate your outfits and I like velour/velvet too. I wore my black velvet coat yesterday (on a visit to Andover as it happens) and it always feels good.
That medication sounds like win/win sweetcheeks. I have an anti-depressant for when I get back pain. It really helps to relax my muscles but makes me very drowsy at the same time. I've never noticed it making me lose weight though! Hope yours works for you.I'll probably go for smart jeans and a top rather than anything overly dressy.
Have a good weekend everyone
I think it's essential to have smart casual outfits as they're acceptable in so many situations. The other thing is that they are fairly timeless. When I'm people watching, I notice that a jeans/top/scarf outfit can be almost identical on women of all ages but you have to be careful to avoid the little signs that can make it frumpy. One thing I notice is women who wear jeans that are a bit too short (IMO of course:o) and then have tights/popsocks underneath. Do enjoy your evening.
I'm off to do a food shop later. Being away last weekend, we've managed to get through the week from the freezer and cupboards and eating out and just buying some milk. It's been odd so I'll be pleased to get the fridge stocked and back on my usual healthy meal plan.:)
Fab Friday here. When I go out I'll wear black jeans (which coat will depend whether rain holds off) and a nice jumper with boots. I'll be doing my make up too and hair is freshly washed and blow dried.
Have a good day all.:A0 -
Fabbing continues, I even de fuzzed, I see the 'holiday skin' lotion is already back in the shops, even though its snowing!? I think I have some from last year I will have to have a rummage.
DD1 took me out yesterday morning as she is working on mother's day. Had a lovely day exploring local artsy/historical town, then went to a french cafe for some very decadent crepes and coffee. Was a cold day here so wore a tunic type jumper, jeggings, boots pashmina and coat. Also wore low key make up. I am meeting up with my mum tomorrow for lunch at her favourite cafe, which is also a haunt of local musicians and crafty people, it often has live music on saturday, a very nice place to spend an hour or so catching up - then I think we will do a spot of shopping. My mum is a full time carer for a disabled teen, so any time to herself even if its just doing relatively ordinary things, she really looks forward to.No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0 -
Evening everyone, lovely to read your posts as always! My twin boys are starting to be a bit easier to look after (they're now 5 months old) and I've started my 30 day shred challenge again, as I can now do my exercise DVD at home with only a couple of interruptions from them…..
I have 2 stone to lose at SW, trying very hard to be motivated; it may be back to keeping a diary to see if that helps. This month is the last month I'll be able to pay the usual amount towards my DMP as from next month my maternity pay will decrease - a shame as I was really chipping away at the total, but I can't afford to keep paying as much
I did buy myself some new underwear today to cheer me up, but I used an M&S voucher I'd had for ages so it didn't cost me anything!
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Mother's Day, I have told OH that I expect the boys to have bought me something, he needs to take them shopping!!Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -

That's an excellent idea ruby. When was getting to target I found that not only does writing down your meal plan and what you eat help hugely but knowing you have that accountability can actually stop you eating the 'wrong' things because you don't want to have to write it down. Hope that makes sense.
Hope the twins have a successful shopping trip too.;)
That sounds like a lovely treat with your mum shandy (for both of you). I'm sure my DD1 will be round on Sunday and DD2 is coming tomorrow for coffee and a chat.0 -
I'm another one desperately trying to get back on track. I'm 5kgbup,on this time last year and should be 3kg down. I have a hospital appointment in May that I need to be fit and healthy for so a definite target date. I need to lose 2lbs a week... Exercise hasn't gone well over he last few weeks as I've been busy and not feeling great so the plan was to restart this week.
Monday didn't go well - tried running but was feeling sick and dizzy just standing! Reset my weight loss goals on my fitbit on March 1st and have been logging food - despite poor step counts on tues and weds I have kept within my calorie allowance (1000 kcal deficit) every day so far. With the right information I should be able to get back under control regardless of disruption to diet or exercise regimes!0 -
Sugarbabe I agree with Mamanon this one, I'm another one who can't see "it" in themselves despite what anyone says, I know I don't let anyone else put themselves down when I'm around but I always do it to myself. We need to start being our own fab best friends instead of being so self critical even though it's easier said than done. Sounds like you had a great night out Sugarbabe I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
Thanks Coppers. I do tend to be hyper critical of my own flaws. My bingo wings are the worst flaw as they are really bad and no amount of exercise will ever replace the elasticity in the skin on my arms, but my cleaning job is making the muscles in my arms more defined. I am blessed with young looking skin, so at 53 years old, I do not have any wrinkles, not even the hint of any laughter lines. :T Thanks to inheriting the right genes from my Mother. I do get spots at times, but my Boots witch hazel and tea tree oil skin regime works really well for me and I can get rid of spots within 24 hours or less. I had horrendous spots as a teenager and in my early twenties, but now I tend to get compliments on my skin.
Maman I had a lovely time with my 3 Granddaughters and my 4 children yesterday. I got my Mother's Day presents and a card from my eldest daughter and flowers and a card from my eldest granddaughter. I got a card from my son and his 2 daughters.
I am spending a lovely relaxing day pampering myself today then I will go to Karaoke this evening.
Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous Mother's on this thread :rotfl:0 -
