Last night was a non-fab write off as I worked very late, came home, ate takeaway and only took my uniform off to go to bed. The perils of trying to take a day's annual leave! I've got Monday off so am going to try to have a fab, pampering long weekend.
Ellsbel, the only way I remember anything is to write it all down. Otherwise it all competes in my head and I feel like I'm going mad.

Hi everyone, we all know I've started fabbing up recently, one thing I'm struggling a bit with is people noticing I'm wearing make up & mentioning it, Eg, are you wearing make up, where are you going all dressed up, ect. I'm sure you know the type of comments, because people know I don't usually wear make up, the thing is it makes me feel self conscious and I never know what to say, I'm sure I come across as awkward which proberly makes them feel awkward too. I'm sure people are trying to be nice but I do wish people wouldn't make personal comments. How do you all deal with this type of thing?0

Just smile and say "well I thought I would make an effort ......for a change/in honour of the occasion/because the sun is shining/because it's raining/because I felt like it/because I'm fed up of looking like a big lady". .
In other words take ownership.
Or as my son would say...."well I thought that one of us should make the effort". :rotfl:
Actually, all joking apart, if someone pays us a compliment all we have to do is be gracious. Smile and say "thank you". That's it, simple, no explanations needed.
I ve had a lovely day.......lie in, a bit of fabbing, trip to Aldi, pottering about with DS2, reading, watching Dr Zhivago, not seen it for years. It seems quite cheesy now, maybe it always was. :rotfl: I still like fur hats, fur collars etc.
Had some good news.......a nice letter from HRMC - apparently they owe me quite a large sum of money. The cheque is in the post. Wahoo.0 -
Coppers, I know just what you mean. Someone commented on my hair this week because I had it down one day instead of up as normal. I think a good cop out is "I just felt like a change"Grocery Challenge £114.22/ £1100

Maddie may that is a lovely purchase I'm sure you will get lots of wear out of that and the grey is lovely.
I agree about the make up comments too- I'm the same don't often wear make up but sometimes I make an effort for me. Most people are lovely but there does always seem anyone that knocks you off kilter as you don't expect that kind of comment....LL I like the answer suggestions you have
I have come off my medication for anxiety - I notice I was missing days so started taking every second day then started forgetting that so didn't go back for more when I finished them. OH pointed out I've been so snappy in last week and not really like myself ( he doesn't know) so now maybe realising it wasn't such a bright idea after all.... I don't know whether to go back to the go again... Grrrr if it was a fire leg I wouldn't have such a dialemia about it...
Hope every one is well0 -
Ellsbell I have also thought about Botox as well although I wouldn't want the frozen face look. The fine lines etc would be a bonus but a couple of people o know have used it for sore heads & Chronic migraines and it gives them great relief so that wrinkles and Dave perking and literally a bonus on the side.0

Coppers, if you can perfect a natural, "look like you're not wearing any makeup" makeup, then people may start to say "oh you look well". I know I only wear eye makeup when going out as its too "done up" for my daily look, but my colleagues do. Maybe try a lighter look, eyeliner, tinted moisturiser & lip balm first, and let people get used to your new face in stages?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I get it and dont have a frozen face. The practitioner i use has a very light touch and uses the minimum required and if its not enough she tops up 2 weeks later. Nobody would know i had it, i just look like i have had a good nights sleep or a holiday. Its definitely worth a try to pause the ag7ng process rather than trying to roll back the years. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

Sweetcheeks, perhaps you should get another script and try taking them every other day again and see how it goes for a little while. Then if you feel stable try every three days. Is there a time of day/place to keep your meds so they are "in your face" and you cannot forget?
A few years ago I was part of a forum, a self help group for an illness that I have, one of the principle contributors was involved in medical stuff for his day job and he was always so unhappy that people were not given accurate information about withdrawing from certain medication, i.e. anti-anxiety and AD's. So much so that in his own time he wrote tapering off regimes to help, friends, family and folks on the forum who also took them. I think if you do a search on the name of the product/withdrawal etc you might find something to help you function at a lower level with a view to stopping eventually if you are able to. I would point out sometimes he was talking months and months, not days/weeks.
Take care.
