Today's outfit is multicoloured red herring dress with black wrap cardi and knee high black boots, it's my favourite outfit just now.

I'm glad it's not just me, I get into favourite outfits too. They don't necessarily have to be new but some things just feel good when you put them together.

Yesterday (as it was a bit milder and didn't need lots of layers) I wore the 'new' Hobbs green jumper with dark denim jeans and my brown knee high boots. It felt just right for a pub lunch. I'm so pleased I'm going to wear it again today but with a black jacket rather than my parka (not raining today;)) and possibly different boots.

Great news about your shoulder. It's amazing that you've suffered for years and now it's sorted.

Congratualtions on the new job sugarbabe. You must have been full of confidence and it paid off.:T

I'm glad you can be strong on the apartment sale LL. It'll be another chapter opening soon if you do get it but if not this one then another.:)

I've tried kale but it was rather tough and chewy. Maybe I cooked it wrongly???

[/B]maman t we have the same fab taste in beach bags!!! I have the silver one. I may buy one for my mum and sister as they liked my one.

Hex and maddie I have a micropedi and really recommend it. When OH bought it for me for Xmas, I was dubious, but I now, I love it. Quick tip - I buy the replacement rollers on Amazon. They are 'fake', but they do a good job. The official rollers are £10 for 2 and these are £10 for 4.

Chanie - thank you for the tip off, will look them up and put into save for later list (so that I don't forget)

Hex - I collected the micro-pedi from store this afternoon, looking forward to having a play with it:D

Maman and sugarbaby - your outfits sound great, and great news about the job sugarbaby.

I spent some time pampering today and cleaned and re-organised the cabinet, tray etc where I keep my go to products, make up brushes all clean and put back in their container and eye and lip pencils all sharpened.

LL - that is a great attitude to the new home search, I am sure that if this is not "the one", that a super new home will present itself to you in due course.

lollyfin - so pleased about your shoulder, my therapist has taken all of January off to re-charge her batteries and give her own body a rest, must take it's toll after a while, but so looking forward to a deep tissue massage next week.

sugarbaby congratulations your job. Great news.

lolly I just googled deliciously Ella. I quite like some of the recipes, but I think I will adapt them, otherwise I'll end up buying stuff I'll never use.

ll I know you are more knowledgeable about property than I am, but I remember not 'loving' our house when we first viewed it, but we are really happy here and it feels like home.

maddie well done on the fabbing. I hope you enjoy your micro pedi!!!
  • Hello All

ShandyClover I love the body balance class at my gym, as you say harder than you expect but great for stretching and always a good mix of ages and fitness levels.

Thanks for the info about Deliciously Ella Everyday cookbook, I will look on line as recommended by VJsmum the cinnamon and date porridge sounds good.

Well done on getting the job Sugarbabe and it is good you can start straight away.

LL I hope that the apartment works out for you. Love the idea of a virtuous circle bringing good things started by loving/liking/taking care of youselves.

I will look into the idea of using the John Frieda lightener spray. I do now dye my hair at home and it seems to work as long as I remember not to swim for a couple of days after or it gets a pink tinge.

I have not got further with getting my hair cut etc other than looking on websites at styles but working on it and you lot keep me thinking about changes.

I attempted what was probably a rather ambitious run today (12km in a circuit along the sea wall) and didn't do particularly well. I've had no exercise all week, due to a combination of travel and a cold. The cold had gone enough to make me feel well enough to get out and run, but I think I might still have a bit of a chest infection...

Anyway, I've recovered from that and have now booked myself into the spa for exfoliation and a pedicure. Must remember to book myself a waxing appointment for tomorrow. I just need to stay awake for another hour before my appointment!

Just popping in to say hi as I've not posted for a while.
I always love reading the posts on here - so positive and inspiring:)
Thanks for your link to the SW plan *maman* - I'm determined to try a variation of it this week.
Hope the apartment works out for you *LL*
Hugs to everyone - not much to report here - just plodding.

My feet now look respectable for the first time in months - I really do need to keep up with pedicures (I'm hopeless at painting my own toenails). The exfoliation and massage was fabulous. Waxing is booked for later today after I see friends, so I'll be all sorted out for next week.

Miserable dull day here today. I have a hour's walk to meet friends, and an hour back so am just working out what to wear (possibly not my gym kit) and then need to stick as much stuff as possible in the laundry today... although I don't appear to have another laundry bag and list...

Fingers crossed re. the apartment LL - good to see you are being pragmatic about it. You're under no pressure to buy, which certainly puts you in a strong position from the negotiation perspective.

Hello fabbers, I wore a purple velour calf length skirt and my black low cut sleeveless top with black patent leather shoes and my long black leather jacket. I wore my purple sandstone heart and silver necklace and earrings set to Karaoke last night. I got chatted up on the bus by a man about my own age, but politely turned him down. Then I got some lovely compliments from 2 older men that I have been friends with at Karaoke for a few years. I felt so attractive and confident.

1st day on the job, I wore a white t-shirt and my black circles on black skirt. I wore silver hoop earrings, my silver and black Murano glass pendant and silver chain with a silver and diamonique ring and my Ingersoll diamond watch. I wore plain black ankle socks with plain black leather trainers as I am now working as a cleaner and need to be sensible about my footwear. It was hard work, but the 4 hours flew by because I was so busy. I was able to sign off JSA, and was so happy to do so.

    Morning All

I've been busy sorting out stuff ready for moving (still no date though), so not been posting much.

I had a lovely day out at a Spa with a friend yesterday. We got a special offer so it only cost us £60 each and we didn't pay for any extra treatments. We felt we got our money's worth as we did 2 classes (Fitness Yoga and Ultimate Legs, Bums and Tums), used all the water therapy rooms and pool and had a really lovely three course lunch. I swam for half an hour non stop in the pool and had a very healthy low carb lunch. I even managed to avoid the temptation of the puddings and stuck to cheese. We also made good use of the free shampoo, hairdryers etc and spent the final hour relaxing in the Conservatory with the free papers and complimentary tea and coffee. We had to leave by five as I was at work at seven but if we went again would try to stay later (it shuts at 8). My friend drove but I gave her some petrol money, though we both thought we might persuade a DH to do the chauffeuring next time so we could relax even more - it was an hours drive away.

Today I have Pilates in the morning and then we are having a skip delivered so we can clear out the garage and sheds. We have sold the chickens so have bits of wire fencing etc from there too. DH has raked the area where they were smooth and we are going to sow grass seed and hope it the mild weather we are having helps it germinate even though it is so early in the year.

We are busy ebaying bits and pieces at the moment and putting anything we make into a moving fund so that we can do various little jobs here that need doing and also pay for the removal van if possible from it. Ages ago I also offered DH a £100 incentive if he lost just over a stone and got below 14 stone. I tucked the money away ready but he never got there. However, he is now only 3lbs away and has said he'll put that in the pot too when he makes it.

I shall be wearing my leggings and t-shirt for Pilates this morning but will top it with a long burgundy jumper and black ankle boots for going there and for coffee afterwards. I shall have to find some warmer and scruffier clothes for later though if we are going to be clearing the shed and garage.

    Have a good day,
