Hello you fabulous lot
too late to join? I've been lurking all day and I've decided to bite the bullet and join in.
I've realised I've been spending most of my time wearing my pjs and a blanket all day long, unless there's an unavoidable reason to leave the house, avoiding showers, housework, cooking, anything that requires leaving the sofa. Basically, I have become a sofa slug. Bad for my mood, my self esteem, and life in general. Partly a bit of depression, partly just not helping myself.
So my main goals are to get dressed in the mornings, to fit into some of my clothes again, and to do things that make me feel fab (or at least not awful)
Today I've had a lovely bath, trimmed my nails and moisturised my hands, thanks to lurking on this thread.so thank you all for that

Indie I'm so glad things are working out for you and your bf and I'm very jealous your going on a juice master week. I've tried juicing before but really struggle having to cook for everyone when I'm just having juice.
I really recommend clearing out wardrobes/homes I konmaried my house at the end of last year and feel so much better without loads of stuff about and it's a lot easier to keep the place clean and tidy.
Hello new peeps it's very encouraging here and ll is great at helping us along the road step by step to fabulousness.
My hands are starting to look a lot better and I had a lovely bath last night with essential oils and a treatment on my hair. What a difference fabbing has made to my skin usually at this time of year between central heating inside and cold/wind outside my skins usually very red, dry and sensitive but it's lovely and soft...even if I do say so myself;)konMarie and fabbing all the way

Morning fabbers.
I had quite a good day at work yesterday and am feeling more positive after having a few things go wrong. I baked a cake with the children, which turned out rather nice (colleagues enjoyed it) and I really enjoyed the process. I rarely cook for enjoyment, so it was nice to do something a bit different and I felt rather proud of myself.
A couple of colleagues are running some resilience training and I said they should call it 'bake your way to happiness' as there isn't much that can't be fixed with cake!!!!
I'm hosting an all day meeting today so I wore something that made me feel a bit smarter than normal, plus I did my make up.0 -
I made a real effort with my clothing, when I was running errands: long sleeved red top, black on black patterned skirt, silver jewellery with a black and red pendant, my stainless steel diamond watch, black leather knee high boots, black leather jacket.
In the evening when I went to Karaoke, I wore a cerise pink scoop neck t-shirt with the same skirt, black patent leather shoes and lots of solid gold jewellery and my gold plated Tissot watch.
I wore perfume and also used the matching perfumed body lotion. I also painted my nails with clear nail polish0 -

 welcome to you both.
You've both made a good start just joining in. There's nothing I enjoy more than a bit of a project/plan/structure to get my teeth into and even the smallest steps can make a massive difference. Keep posting.
I'm having success with my new moisturiser. Streaming eyes have gone including adding in the eye cream since Sunday. I'm really pleased because mascara makes such a difference to how I look and I was worried the mascara may have been the culprit. I'm going to treat myself to another Benefit They're Real as they now make it in brown which would be better for daytime use.
Your outfit sounds similar to mine yesterday sugarbaby except that I changed my skirt rather than my top for the evening. I'm impressed with the range of watches though. I just wear a fairly basic one all day, every day and only take it off for the shower.:o
Today I've got various bits of paperwork to do and I've put on a SC of Bolognese sauce for the freezer, veg packed and healthy. HM ready meals are really helpful when I'm in a rush. I've a meeting later and a pub meal with friends/colleagues so it'll be smart casual. I'll probably go for black skinnies with a pair of my new boots and top will depend on which colour of boots I choose.
Bright here at the moment but definitely getting colder.:(0 -
Hello everyone. Welcome to Chocolatpiggybank and Savingfortomorrow - you have both got off to a great start.
CPB. Well done on getting off that sofa and getting motivated.
I know it's tempting somedays - especially in winter when it's cold, dark and miserable but lounging around in pjs all day really isn't a good idea. It only makes us feel worse.
Even if you don't set foot out of the door, making that effort to pamper yourself a bit and Wear something nice makes such a difference. I know it's hard sometimes when your mood is low and energy levels have dipped but getting your act together really does help to lift the mood. Perhaps some upbeat music might help.
I think a lot of it has to do with light quality, I seem to have a lot more energy when the days are a bit lighter. When it's really dark and miserable I light some candles and play some music and of course a spray of perfume. It helps lift my mood.
The other day the weather was awful, I was still suffering from tummy pains, wasn't sleeping, was missing my husband, had dragged myself round that house viewing and was feeling thoroughly fed up and out of sorts. I bought myself a bunch of tulips....... They did the trick. Such a small thing but it lifted my spirits. They are still going strong and add a much needed shot of life and colour to these dark January days.
Bright here too but yes, definitely getting colder. Snow is on its way - allegedly.......I have dug out my fur lined snow boots in readiness......
I had a rummage in the garden store cupboard, looking for pots and compost because I wanted to plant some spring bulbs. Brrrr it was freezing.
Anyway when I found them I brought them into the kitchen where I did the potting up. Much warmer..... I am very much a fair weather gardener but it was imperative I got those bulbs in because they were already shooting. I bought them in Amsterdam and they are a bit unusual - bright blue!!
This afternoon I am going to do a bit more kondoing. I had planned to sand and oil the kitchen work tops then realised DS1 had borrowed the sander so that will have to wait now for a few days so rather than fritter away the time I shall finish my bedroom sort out.
I too have been working on my skin, my elbows were particularly bad, very dry and quite sore but I have really upped my game with the skin care and it's paying off now, although my hands are very dry and itchy. I think I must start wearing gloves now that it's getting colder.
Maman - Glad you sorted out your eye problems and found the right products.
Definitely second Mamans use of home made "ready meals". Saves a lot of time, money and effort. Great for busy or just plain cba days.
Today I've got some pre prepared home made bolognese sauce out of the freezer for dinner. It was a small portion that I had made for DS2 for when I was away so I shall stretch it by adding some kidney beans, a bit of courgette lurking in the fridge and plenty of chilli spices and hey presto it will be an easy chilli.
I bought some special cocoa balls in the Caribbean so will grate a bit of that into the mix to add a bit of richness. A portion of garlic bread for DS2 and a side salad will pad it out nicely.
I am trying very hard to up my fruit, salad and veg content. I have been grain free for 3 days now and am feeling so much better, however I do need to work on more varied paleo friendly breakfasts.
Timetogetupandgo2 -.I recorded that healthy eating programme last night to watch later.
Right lunch break over.......healthy stir fry today.....:D. Time to get cracking.0 -
Afternoon All
I like the sound of all the outfits. I had Pilates this morning so am still wearing my leggings and t-shirt from that but topped with a long loose hand knitted boat neck pale blue cotton sweater. It's got various different stitches on it to add interest and three quarter sleeves. I'm teaming it with black ankle boots, silver necklace and earrings. The hair appointment went well on Friday and my hair is freshly washed and styled this morning. It's a chin length bob in shades of dark blonde.
I had a really good sort out of stuff yesterday and took a big box of oddments to the charity shop. I managed to take everything out from under the spare room bed and condense what I was keeping into a shelved wardrobe. I want to go through my clothes again and also persuade DH to go through his. I am determined not to take anything to the new house that will end up in a box and unpacked. If it doesn't bring joy it is going!!
Today I have cleaned and repainted the tops of the bathroom windows where they were looking a bit dingy. DS is also hoping to move so has booked a skip for tomorrow so we may be able to put a bit of stuff in that if we have time to do some clearing in the garage. I haven't heard from the solicitors since before Christmas but want to be as ready as I can be for moving. I've just cut down my hours at work so have a couple of extra free afternoons now.
I'm back on my LCHF diet from today. I did ok over the weekend until the chocolates came out, when I succumbed and overindulged. The gathering went really well though and the buffet was much appreciated. On the Sunday we took DGD swimming and then whilst she was at a party managed to fit in a couple of games of tennis. Today I have been to Pilates, so walked there and back too, but am still quite low on my step count. I may nip out now to the library as it's open till 4pm and get my steps up a bit more to make sure I achieve my daily goal which is around 13,500 steps.

Afternoon all - lovely to catch up with what people have been doing
I had SW today, so wore my usual black M&S lounge-wear trousers (ie: trackie bottoms) and plain black tshirt (I like to weigh in the same clothes each week) but because it was cold I topped it with a (very) long, loose burgundy cardigan and a scarf from fat face in burgundy/ gold and toning pinky colours - it really made a difference and made it more of an 'outfit'. I must admit to only wearing mascara, plain lipbalm and perfume today, but (other than SW) I've just been doing housework and school runsHowever, I did take the time to dry my hair this morning after my shower (and used body polish in the shower and lovely Sanctuary body butter after)- I didn't straighten the ends off because they actually dried in quite a cute fluffy way , which went with the relaxed outfit. (oh - and I lost 2.5lbs
)
I re-KMed all of my clothes last week and everything is joyful. Some things are a size/ half a size too small (they are at the back of the wardrobe) at present - they will be checked to see if I like them when they (hopefully soon) fit again
I also re-tidied my bedroom and vacuumed and polished it, removing anything from there which isn't meant to be there and it's looking lovely and peaceful. I also decided that the book which I've been trying to read over the past week just isn't grabbing my attention enough, so it's now in the CS pile - I have more books to read and am not wasting my time trying to read something which isn't grabbing me enough!

I have a uniform in the winter and it is black from head to toe. The only exception is the winter face in palest foundation- totally rocking the goth look. I struggle to find stuff in the wardbobe and need to get organized. I know I have nice stuff but can I find it- I think not.
I had a really low calorie lunch and was starving for dinner. I can't snack so it was a good 7 hour gap and I over ate. (not by loads but enough). Would I bet better to consider a decent lunch and small dinner. I want to go to the gym after work and the idea of light soup may be better for dinner than lunch.
Every day wearing make up, trying to use up the stock pile. Considering botox- it may be better to spend the skincare budget on it than cream.
So the plan for tomorrow is make up, wear something with colour, gym (buy googles for swimming) and try to do something with my hair.0
