saving I find it much easier to eat a bigger lunch and a smaller dinner as well.

Greent Well done on the weightloss.

Rose you are such a busy lady and have made so much progress. Good for you.

Lessons What a lovely idea to buy some flowers to cheer yourself up. I do think that flowers brighten up the house and it always makes me smile when I have some, but its not something I ever think to buy!!!

Maman am pleased your new moisturiser is working.

Things are good with me. My all day meeting went well, so that's a bit boost to me.
  • I got weighed this morning and was not happy to see that I had gained 2lb in weight so now I am 17 stone 4lbs. I simply have to make more effort to move and exercise, but I had a chest infection for 2 weeks, so only just getting back to the point that I can do my normal activities. I am thankful that I have some 14 tops and 16 skirts that still fit me, but the vast majority of my fabulous wardrobe of clothes does not, so I need to get my act together. Being unemployed since February 2015 has left me not only short of cash, but unmotivated to eat healthy and exercise, but 2016 is a new start for me. I am starting today by enjoying dancing to some of my favourite reggae music in my Sitting room. I am going Karaoke later so I need to plan my outfit for tonight.

Atta girl, Sugarbaby Up and at 'em. You can do it. Have a good dance round your sitting room and then get all dolled up for karaoke......Enjoy!

It's bright sunshine here, although very cold. I am out and about today, so jeans, a nice grey sweater and One of my big "coatigans"- must remember gloves today. Hands are really dry and itchy.

Savingfortomorrow. Yes try a more substantial lunch and a light dinner. 7 hours is too long between meals really, especially if you are going to the gym after work.

    Remember the old saying

"breakfast like a king, lunch like lord and dine like a beggar"

I realise that not everyone has the time and inclination to have their main meal at midday, especially if you are working but there are health benefits. At any rate it's better not to have a really large meal later in the evening.

I'm not sure how much difference it makes to weight loss - after all it's calorie intake and expenditure that counts. However I think it's better for digestive health not to go to bed too soon after a large meal. It has helped me a lot to overcome Gord by eating earlier.

Also there's nothing wrong with snacks as long as they are healthy and not just rubbish - some fruit or a few nuts and seeds maybe.

    Have a great day.
  • Made an alright start yesterday afternoon, I got dressed and ventured out of the house voluntarily! Went for a 20 minute walk, found the local library (it's teeny!) and got a better idea of where my new house is. It did start raining while I was out, and there's me with no umbrella, but thankfully no make up either so I put on my best 'I don't care that I'm getting wet' face and kept going :p I also wore perfume, painted my nails bright red and moisturised my hands again - two days in a row, they're feeling very spoilt!

Lessonlearned - you're absolutely right about the difference these small things can make to your mood. Planning to put on perfume and leave the house again today.

Chanie. My late husband often used to buy me flowers - no reason " just because".

And although I know my sons love me they wouldn't do that so I now have to buy my own.....:rotfl:

My DH for all his many plus points isn't good with flowers. He buys them for me occasionally but shall we say they're not to my taste. Of course, I thank him profusely but I don't encourage him;).

I don't find it extravagant to buy flowers and my DDs seem to have inherited the same traits. I think it came from my mother. She always loved flowers, her first job was with a florist. I find Aldi do brilliant flowers at very reasonable prices (£2 for a bunch of roses) so I buy them for myself, my DDs, friends etc etc and they buy them for me.:D

It's bright but cold here too LL and tonight we have another match. I think it'll be thermal trousers and the whole hog as far as keeping warm is concerned.

I wore my new red boots yesterday and got a compliment from a colleague. She sat opposite me in a meeting and made a point of coming on to me afterwards and saying how nice they were. They're also lovely and warm.

I've had a pamper session this morning including blow drying hair. Just a few errands to run so it'll be jeans and my parka I expect.

On the meals debate. I do eat late by most people's standards I suppose. It's generally 7.30 p.m. but then I don't go to bed until after midnight so it's all relative I suppose. Any earlier and I start fancying a snack.;)

I generally eat later than this - 8-8.30pm most days. Sometimes earlier if I'm going out and need to eat first, sometimes later if I'm out and need to eat later (like tonight, running finishes at 8pm, I can't eat before). I've never liked finishing work and then eating straight away. I want to do stuff first.

Keep fit yesterday, and 12k steps walking (just). Pilates class done this morning, then sports massage (I think my shoulder may need a visit to the physio) which I have weekly when I'm at home. Work this afternoon, then I'm out with the running group in the evening (that's going to be cold...). Back working 9.30pm.

As a result I'm going to be changing from pilates kit into running kit at some point, and then into something warm to do my calls (in front of the fire) between running and a late bath and bed.
