Sugarbaby - congratulations to your hard working son, you have every right to be very proud. Also, so pleased that things are going well between you and Wayne, sounds like you have fun together.
I have been keeping up with the fabbing this week, am trying to pace myself better so that I don't get so fatigued, it is a pleasant change for me not to be freezing cold all the time, so really hope that we get more warm weather during the coming weeks:D
During late Sept/October we need to travel somewhat to the NE of here to visit a family member and OH surprised me today by suggesting that we tag a visit to York, in our caravan, on to this:j I love everything about York, having visited for the very first time 2 years ago. Although it does not often bother me I am very starved of visiting nice shops (I live in the sticks) and York has so much to offer, really quite excited, so fingers crossed that the plans will all come together, dog to go on holiday with best friend, relative to pin down, space on preferred caravan site etc:D:D
Happy BH weekend everyone. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hello Ladies,
Thank you for all your congratulations for my son Marcus. He is very pleased that you cared enough to say congratulations. He spent his money buying the laptop of his dreams from Currys and it is being delivered today and he can hardly wait to take delivery and start using it.
I had another lovely night in a Hotel with Wayne. He paid.He wanted us to eat in a restaurant before settling down together in the Hotel room, but I ate a small meal at home and he had a takeaway, so that saved him about £25. We talked a lot, so we are continuing to understand each other better. The Air conditioner was so welcome on such a hot night and I had taken 2 partially frozen 500 ml bottles of water with me rather than buy costly bottles of water from the hotel vending machine. The bed was ultra comfortable and King size. I am not used to sleeping next to any one any more, but as the bed was so large I was able to get to sleep. :j
I wore my black sleeveless top and purple chiffon skirt with my patent black leather Van Dal sling backs with the gold cutouts. I was wearing solid gold jewellery, perfume, but no make up. I was carrying my every day black leather handbag and my Playboy tote.0 -
SugarBaby Big congratulations to Marcus. Great decision by him to spend the cash on a laptop which should prove useful to him in his future studies.
I'm assuming with such great results he will be continuing with his education.
Lovely to see that things are going well with you and Wayne.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Please add my congratulations to your clever, clever boy sugarbaby.:T His results are excellent, it's no wonder you're so proud of him. I expect that he's equally proud to have such a confident, hardworking and articulate mum. You have set him a very good example.:A Will he stay at his current school for 6th Form or go to college? Whichever, his new laptop will be very useful.
DH and I had a lovely day out yesterday so I joined in Fab Friday. We didn't manage a NT property but I notice the Beatrix Potter exhibition locally is on until mid-September so I'll get there sometime.
It was so hot that instead of the trousers I'd planned I wore my flouncy, silk Zara skirt with my navy Jack Wills shell top. They're both CS buys so it was very mse too.:money:We went to Chichester and I'd downloaded a town walk which helped us see a bit of everything as I hadn't been there for years. I managed to pop into Shuropody's sale too and treated myself to the fit flops I dithered about back in June. The dithering helped though as they were £40 in the sale instead of £75 full price and £60 last time I looked. They're a timeless design so I'll get years of wear.

After that we went down to sit by the Solent and watch everything going on on the water. What a shame we don't get this sort of summer weather every year.
I'd seen the tribal prints too chanie. I might go for the design in a blouse or something but certainly not the 'pyjamas'.;)
York's really lovely Maddie. Do try and fit in an evening ghost walk while you're there.
I need to do a food shop today and we've got football this afternoon so all go. It's dry here with a little sun but certainly not the blazing heat of yesterday. It'll be black jeans with something when I go out.:)0 -
Good morning lovely ladies
I have a very busy day planned today but just wanted to share my news.
I have bought a house.:j:j:j - well had an offer accepted so it's all go and keeping everything crossed.
I will post piccies later once it's safely mine but for now .....
It's a two bedroomed modernish town house (about 20 years old) small but perfectly formed, south facing garden, off street parking, great location being part of a conservation area in city and within easy walking distance of all the amenities. Alas, no river views:rotfl: but a pretty quiet tree lined pedestrianised newly cobbled street....it has the feel of one of those cute pretty London Mews. A newly fashionable and in EA speak an "up and coming" area - lol - so hopefully a good long term investment.
She sings....."I'm so excited......" And dances a little jig.:D
I'm very happy today.0 -
