I wonder if anyone can tell me if you know,
When your fixed ate mortgage deal runs out, I know you go to the banks base rate unless you remortgage with another institution ...
If you get another fixed rate deal with the current bank do they do a credit search on you again.
I am not too worried as there is 26 months to go on the current deal but it would set my ever churning mind at rest.
Thanks again all you lovely folks xxxCredit cards and loan total at Jan 2016=£37599 :eek::mad::mad::(:(0 -
Hi CG
I have a standing order set up transferring £10 a week into my EF. OH gets paid weekly so its easier and soon builds up.
Well done on clearing out. Whatever you make will be money you didn't have eh
I have so much to do but got distracted by Elvis on the TV. So I decided to sing along (badly) instead :rotfl:
Have a lovely Sunday

Sorry I don't know but Ali-ok has a great diary(I think on MFW)which I follow and she is just remortgaging with the same bank so she should know or if not one of her followers will know.
Failing that yo could ask on the mortgage board although they are not as nice as us on Debt Free boards:rotfl:
Ali also mentioned that from later this year if you apply for a new product you have to go through the full income and expenditure like new people do now - this is even if you are staying with same bank.
I think you will be fine as a lot of your debt will be gone in 26 months.0 -
I just went on MBNA account and I have 3500 available.they have also put two offers on there...
Transfer a balance for a year to 0% for 2.9% fee. Or. Transfer a balance to them at no fee but int rate of 4.9% for the life of the balance.
I thought I could do some swapping ... Transfer from Tesco to MBNA then transfer back but can I do this and which rate should I go for???
Thanks for your replies so far xxCredit cards and loan total at Jan 2016=£37599 :eek::mad::mad::(:(0 -
Hope you don't mind me butting in. Wilkinsons do their own brand dentastix, which are cheaper and my Mums greyhound loves them.0

Hi Rosy...
I will also follow you.
It's a pretty difficult situation to be in isn't it...
I have mulled it over for months and there is NO way I am telling him or the rest of my family about this...
I need to do it myself and don't want to cause him upset.

Hi EE,
I just transferred a balance of just short of £3000 from Tesco to MBNA for 12 mths.
Now I need to decide what to do about the Tesco offer. I thought I might transfer £3500 off Barclay card of which I am paying 8% interest at the moment and then pay the rest of Barclay card off as my fist balance to get rid of.
Does that make sense...it's all so complicated:eek:
That will mean I could have a zero balance on Barclay card within six months and hope they offer me a balance transfer sometime within the next 12 months meaning I can then move one of the others to them as I still have interest free until June...
Do I take the risk...Most credit card companies want your business in some way so that is my theory...
What do any of my wonderful debt busting new found friends think???
If you all can figure this complicated conundrum out hahaha::rotfl:!!!!Credit cards and loan total at Jan 2016=£37599 :eek::mad::mad::(:(0 -

I have done a lot jiggling around CCs to get to where I am now. My target CC is currently on 0% for 12 months. About 8 months remaining. (also MBNA)
This is the one I am trying to clear first because the interest will be the highest once the deal runs out.
I have 2 that are on 6.9% for the life of balance and another on 0% for about another 2 years (I think)
CC companies tend to offer deals all the time so maybe as time goes on and you pay them down you can move them around again.
Keep going you have made a great startSP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000
