I have one of the cheap android boxes set up on wifi. The buffering is irritating at times. Would cabling improve the performance?
    Forgotten but not gone.

It depends what else is going on wirelessly around you - a lot of which will be due to your neighbours and so not under your control.

Having a wired connection means completely dedicated bandwidth, so it should be better, all other things being equal.

Probably not. Some streams buffer terribly whilst others are very smooth. You need to pick another stream.

Alternatively, just download the Windows version of Kodi onto a PC or laptop and then either watch it on that or connect that to the tv.

Amazon have been flogging one of the DroidPlayer boxes for around £40 IIRC several times in the last month as a lightning deal.

Harking back to the device in the first link..

"JailBroken" is a term used for Apple devices. What they are selling is a rooted Android box (note the SuperSU icon in the screenshots). There is no need at all for any Android device to be rooted to run Kodi and it can be downloaded from the Play store to just about any Android phone or tablet. You'd need to hunt around a bit on google to find some of the add-ons we can't discuss here.
