The fire tv box is more powerful than the stick and is future proof (supports 4k).0 -
is there a lot of content on kodi , that is 4K?Save a Rachael

, I could mention that a simple ITX motherboard with a AMD radion thing (5350?), total cost about £60 will fly past any android/apple thing with a copy of openelec on it
or buy an intel NUC 513 with a M.2 card , 8g memory , and a xbox remote , and sit back
can also stream amazon tv/Netflix with the fire tv so good allrounder0 -

Nope but amazon tv/netflix has a growing amount.0 -
yup , but we are talking of a "vehicle" to load kodi on , NOT a retail box that you pay a subscription to watch.
yes the fire tv IS better , but with a price of 39 v 79 , the basic stick , set up correctly runs kodi as good as a lot of imported "boxes" with crap remotes and flaky copies of xbmc that sell on ebay for a lot more
its not hard to set a stick up , so as a starter I suggest this , unless you want to sign up to prime/Netflix as well ,Save a Rachael

Your future proof statement is already out of datepappa_golf wrote: »yup , but we are talking of a "vehicle" to load kodi on , NOT a retail box that you pay a subscription to watch.

Yes but the fire stick is WiFi only whitch makes it pants for streaming if you have thick walls/weak signal. The fire tv box is a good streaming allrounder for kodi and legit streaming services such as amazon/netflix for a small additional subscription.0 -
in that case I suggest the intel NUC 513 ,Save a Rachael

Oh and Fire TV is 64.99 at the mo and since you can sideload kodi the subscription bit is not true either
Yes as HDR is not supported and 4k/30hz is the streaming rate I admit it's not 100% but as the two main streaming services use that spec it's the best you will get for the price.0 -

Again you won't get the price/capabilities compared to the fire tv box, what are u not getting?0
