Kittie I have a display of framed photos on a wall and an eclectic arrangement of various framed snaps on top of my tortoise house on the sideboard. I do have a digital frame that I keep thinking I should transfer my photos on so I can have a scrolling display of photos on that.

Wow I have started snapping photos of stored clothes and used an app to write the size on them- amazing! I now have the album online, I can browse what is in "storage" for holidays etc.
A friend is going on holiday so I can send her some pictures in case she would like to borrow anything.Jan 20 - NST challenge

mrsMP thank you. I looked all over the net last night and found something that might be suitable. At present I have two JL multi photo frames together on that shelf, which is part of a low shelving unit and they look far too bulky, it is a top shelf, about chest height. The rest of the unit contains books, a bose radio/cd and a large bronze stylish lamp in the shape of an ammonite. The silver coloured frames just don`t look right, so they will eventually go to daughters. I have found an old fashioned frame that is all see through glass with a very thin copper coloured frame and the photos can be copied on photo paper, then cut up and a mix can go in there, like a spaced out collage. I will see what that one is like and then may well get the larger non folding one to stand to the side of the smaller folding one. I will get more photos in and it won`t look formal. I may even get to display bits of old b and w photos in there, all first copied of course, I have photo paper to kondo
I am loving my new cleared snug and may add just one peru weaving back, onto the unit below the tv. It needs a touch more colour. I also put some gorgeous hares on my tiny bookshelf top. I bought them for outdoors but I love them, their ears are so uplifting. Last evening was much more relaxing, back to the radio and knitting, that is the effect of MK and feng shui clearing
Three books out today, tried reading each one and didn`t like them, no more struggling to get started with a book, if I don`t get into it straight away, then it is out. No guilt at all. I can relax today, feeling happy at what I have done all this week0 -
greent - definitely a good result.
kittie - how lovely to have your snug all joyful.
Didn't clear out any paper yesterday however things have progressed in the new house and old carpets are now in the skip. Spent some lovely time online looking at joyful new floorings, internal doors and wood burners. Unfortunately I have expensive taste :rotfl:.
Cleared out some more electronic clutter which feels just as good as getting rid of physical things. Also agonised about some furniture which may have to let go as it doesn't have a natural place in the new home.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -
Morning all
Scrap man took the toaster off the drive this morning but not the fridge, so assuming work colleague was right that to,d me scrapman won't touch them because of the gas thing that needs processing correctly. I'd looked on web and local tip/recycling centre takes them and opens at 9am so we've squeezed it into the Land Rover and will be heading off there soon.
I just want it out of the way now.

I'm kondoing my kitchen cupboards this week -
- binned all of the out of date stuff
- put all of the bits of sweet things into the biscuit barrel to be eaten as snacks rather than buying more snacks
- organised tins, packets and other ingredients into groups together e.g. Chinese ingredients on one shelf, baking goods on another, condiments/stock/gravy/passata onto another etc.
- tidied & organised the freezer
- emptied the fridge
Next up - organising present cupboard, candle collection & paperwork“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I had been holding onto them justin case of the apocalypse cos I would be stuffed without them. I have come to the conclusion that I'd be stuffed anyway in such a situation and I could always make a cardboard pair of pin hole glasses if really desperate! The apocalypse is maybe easier to bear in very soft focus too.
I've had the same thoughts re what if I can't get another pair, and I love your philosophy :beer:0 -

That's an excellent idea. I have several dozen books just sitting on the shelves, unread. I have been given quite a few of them by a neighbour who goes to a book club then passes them on to me. Many of them have been there ages. It probably goes back to my childhood, when I did enjoy fiction and had only a few books, which were read over and over. Time for the joy test.0 -
Have to admit to giving new books the "read one chapter" test - if I can get into it it goes on the waiting shelf, if not then into the CS bag
Am currently lazing on the sofa with the cat & a hot chocolate, listening to The Archers. Once that's finished we have no other plans than reading yesterday & today's papers, rugby to watch and a glass of wine to sup.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
