And then leave it off. It makes it easier to clean the crap out from inside the convector. I've taken them off all my double rads upstairs as we've been decorating and will do the same downstairs. I'm debating whether to do it on the single ones as well.

Snap - apart from the one in the hall by the lounge door, aa it makes a perfect cup/glass rest while opening the door!

GreeboCat is reclining on the vacuum cleaner. I think he knows that I've been dissing him on here and is sticking two claws up at me.

    Today's work went well.
First call was house monitoring for holidaying client.
Second call was taking client shopping and a quick kitchen clean.
    Third call was cleaning.
Forth call was supposed to be some cleaning but ended up being a calming presence for panicking client, then finding docs they had misplaced but were panicking too much to find!
Took me less than 3 mins to look in obvious places, already checked by client, and Bob's your mother's brother, item found! :T

Called at CS and dropped off big bag, including the last of our videos that they happily took (phew). Quick sprint round Aldi to stock up my little store cupboard and home to find DH has lit the woodburner. Cup of coffee and feet warming by the fire, bliss :D

Will do some tai chi before putting dinner on. Tomorrow is a half day of work so I will have plenty of time to conjure proper chicken stock to freeze for future soups.

So no kondo-ing, other than the CS drop off, but the increasingly tidy home is giving me time for pleasurable activites as above. Oh, thank you so much Marie Kondo
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

:) Kondo'd a dental appt before work this morning and the numbness still hasn't quite worn off, a pal told me I have a fat lip (anyone like a slightly-dented secondhand pal, cheap to a good home?):rotfl:

Home, dumped work stuff, loaded wally trolley with donations and bag up to the chazzer. Found them happily selling off Nan's stuff, Mum's stuff and the odd bit of my stuff, some already gone in minutes of being offered.

Brings it home to me how much there must be loitering in cupboards and drawers which could be used to raise money for good causes and to get unused things into the hands of people who will find them both useful and joyful.

Loving hearing about all the lifestyles transformed by the old kondo-magic. She's a funny little person, that Marie, but she's definately onto something.

I still love freebies and goodie bags - but aim to pass on most of the contents asap :) We have a large collection of various UNi cloth bags which DD is using as her shopping bags now :D

:) D'you ever find that people are a bit discombobulated by having proffered freebies declined?

I decline politely and find folks get phased. It's free! they repeat, anxiously, as if I've misunderstood them and am in danger of missing out. I smile sweetly and move on.

:j Came online this morning to a freegler wanting one of the things I posted up on Sunday afternoon, one not good enough for a chazzer, which I was concerned that I might be left with (the spectre of landfill and the horror of waste forever hovers at the back of my mind).

That should go tomorrow, so am very pleased. Giving Stuff away gives me a lot more joy than shopping for it.:rotfl:

And then aghast, disbelieving "it's free" failing to accept that you don't want something when it's free.

A whole load of OHs shoes went out in the bin yesterday. Most were down to holes in the soles, the only good ones were two Right feet that were being kept for Justin - who clearly only has one leg.;)

Re not taking freebies - yes, it does flummox people, even DH! We stayed at a selfcatering cottage in summer and the owner had left a couple of promotional freebies, including canvas shopper. I left them there. DH was about to pack them up to bring home until I pointed out the near-bootful of reusable shoppers already in the car (and there's only 2 of us to shop for! ).

2 new tops arrived yester, for DH. He has treated himself (deservedly so). I suggested that maybe a policy of one in, one out could be implemented :D Not sure if he will do this....

He appears to be trying to Kondo a little weight (I guess about half a stone will be enough), and was showing off one-armed press ups at 7.30 this morning. Who knew?? So now I may have a training buddy to encourage me with my fitness build up :T Having got rid of lots of videos and a few dvds I have just acquired one of Davina's fitnees ones :j Wish me luck, I think the warm up exercises will be enough for this week, thanks!! :rotfl:
