I have 5 cats and cream sofas and don't use throws. We have 2 of the large "dirt attracting" rugs leading from the cat flap and hard floors throughout. Most of my flower beds are gravelled and there's only a small lawn front and back so not a lot of scope for mud. The rugs get washed weekly as they do get filthy, so they must be doing their job."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

Hi everyone
Hope all is well in your worlds.
Been up to the homestead again at the weekend.
Took all my gardening things with me this time. It didn't look like there was a lot in the shed here. It filled my little car up and the dog stayed at home this time.
When I came home late Sunday evening, there is a great big To LET sign up and a pile of messages asking for viewings Monday.
Did I panic? NO. a quick walk around with the hoover, a flick with a duster and the house was show house ready for the first viewing at 10 am.
Oh how I love KM. She's change my life.
Keep up the good work, Pals

Awaiting updated info :rotfl:Last night, I was sorting stuff from Nan's bungalow for today's chazzer run. Among the Stuff were a few small metal trinkets from her mantlepiece. Amongst them was a small silvery base metal grand piano with a detachable lid. Whole ornament about 1.5 inches each way.
Anyway, there seemed to be something which had spilled and dried on the lid, so I washed it, dried it, and put it on top of the hall radiator to finish drying. Went to pick it up this morning and it slipped through my fingers, went through the grill bit on top of the rad and is sitting, frustratingly in sight but out of reach, about 2 inches down inside the rad.
I dunno if the grill bit comes off, don't have time to find out before leaving for work in about 3 minutes, but won't risk damaging the rad to retrieve a bit of worthless tat.
Clutter; a classic example of how it robs you of time and energy.

Thanks for the explanation of the rad Vs piano problem. Must admit I was wondering along the same lines as MMF. Sometimes you just have to concede that it's not worth the effort involved to get something that's trapped. (However annoying it will be)
If you've got the same cold as me and Dh it's a stinker, his has been hanging on for about three weeks now he did very kindly shar it with me a couple of weeks back but I've got the lady version so it's not quite so debilitating.
Better go and do something I suppose.SPC~12 ot 124

If it's a standard radiator, the grill bit on top is clipped on at both ends, a knife or screwdriver used gently in the right place will prise it off."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

And then leave it off. It makes it easier to clean the crap out from inside the convector. I've taken them off all my double rads upstairs as we've been decorating and will do the same downstairs. I'm debating whether to do it on the single ones as well.0 -

I did not know this and have to keep looking at bobbles and clips that have fallen into bathroom one... it was really bugging me as well. Why do little things like this always play on our minds?!Don’t put it down - put it away!
