!OMG, that's amazing. Did you check it was your actual DH not a dead ringer?!

Well if he gives me flowers on my birthday I'll know it's an imposter! :rotfl:

Off to visit two lovely friends today, lunch out and a lot of nattering and laughter. Plan mini kondo later as have my eye on sorting out a small shelf of notebooks and files. It is not horrendous but is nagging me to make it neater and I may be able to reduce the volume, not sure till I get a grip of the items one by one!

Btw, I have Kondo'd the holiday weight! Sooooo, I may well reach my next mini target by the end of the month. As I have a plenty more to lose (not hanging head in shame about prev gains, am getting on with current achievements:D), I have set a long term target of mid-January for another 2 stone. That may be pushing it a bit but I'll give it a serious go! I am so convinced that the KM magic indeed changed my mindset about so many things and I feel so upbeat, who knows what can happen :j
I have changed my work-life balance to a life-work balance.

I'm kondoing new work tasks already :) A lot of the stuff they wanted to put on my desk I have managed to deflect, by suggesting other people who are more uptodate or apt at dealing with them. I'm just suggesting them, but it seems my bosses agree. Hurray! My job title will not change, I will not get a company car, I will not get an increase, so: I will not work much harder then I do now. If they want more, they can start the negotiations, but my time is very valuable to me.

Lovely sunny day here and think it may well continue over weekend :) Planning plenty of kondoing, the continuation of the long haul really:o Sprints and marathons and all that! I will get into the garden though - completely missed timed all my indoor kondoing last weekend and missed out on some lovely warm weather:mad::mad:

The faithful WM was sadly beyond repair and a new one will arrive today - OH did try to fix old one but we weighed up the time and parts costs and just thought lets get a new one - it had been repaired by OH a couple of time before, has been a bit of a work horse, so owes us nothing OH has stripped it off all 'useful bits' but as long as they have been stored in his workshop I really dont care ! Old one will be taken away by delivery people :)

DD2 has had yet another clear out......... and a bag full of clothes to CS, some to a younger friend and other bits distributed for recycling or reuse - give a lot of outgrown dance wear back to her dance school, school uniform to someone she works with who has a younger daughter at the school etc. Don't know where she gets all these ideas from ;)

Planning a trip to CS over weekend and will bring up the subject of the missing barcodes for gift aid.

  • After reading the book on holiday, then re-reading this time adding in post-it notes at key areas, I have chosen Sunday as my day to clear out.

I've already thought of a few things I'll get rid of too, so I'm confident that the place will look a lot cleaner afterwards.

All my clothes will go to a CS while I expect most other things will got on ebay. I'm really looking forward to it. Wish me luck.

:) Good luck, SpekySquarehead. Tell us afterwards how it went, please.

Have been out and about today, dropped in on pal's junk shop and found him looking at the biggest spider I have seen thus far this year - I'm talking handspan size - thru a magnifying glass.

I was invited to peruse this 'orrible example of archanid likewise but had to respectfully decline.:rotfl:

I am in process of codging up a rice pud with some ordinary cooking rice and a pint of freebie milk I got from same pal. I don't take milk in my tea, and this has been out of a fridge and sitting in a bowl of water all day, so won't keep, so I thought I'd cook with it.

Rice was brought forward into view by gutting out the kitchen, and is a reminder to eat it, a kilner jar of rice is not a countertop ornament, for goodness sake.

Well done on the weight loss, MMF007. I fell off the weight loss wagon for the month from mid-August to mid-Sept and ate far too much cake, chocolate and biscuits. I got back with the programme a week ago and have lost a kilo, weight's slipping off at about 0.3-0.4 of a kilo every 3 days. Feeling good about that, want to get the other half of the planned weightloss off by the anniversary of the start of the new diet - 03/03/17.

Am planning to finish a charity shop book this evening, and add it to the next donation bag, along with the DVD watched a few nights ago. The haven't been here more than a fortnight and they're going out again shortly. Keep 'em churning, spread the joy.

I'm about two-thirds of the way through the book, and raring to get started!

I got curious about the clothes-folding and looked her up on YouTube.

A little crazy, but genius! :T
  • Welcome dill, some things do need to be taken with a pinch of salt as the throw it all away message needs tempering with recycle, donate sell or rehome rather than landfill. But yes admittedly quirky but we're all addicts now and much happier with less for reading it.

Do you follow the same order that she suggests, (clothing first, then books, etc etc) or do you make your own categories and decide for yourself which order to do them in?
