Hi all, I'd like to join the thread. Me and DH live in a one bedroom place, with a very small kitchen, however thanks to my natural ability to simplify it is big enough for us, and as we rent it also saves money. I love the MK books, however it is an ongoing process, people think I always get rid of everything, but that simply isn't true, It is because I do it so often that we can live in a one bedroom flat without feeling cramped.
I look forward to joining in more and sharing ideas. I currently have a tidy flat and a hall cupboard filled with 'stuff' that needs a good sort out!DFW - Paid so far - 0% CC's - £2 / £2000, £27 / £1200, £32 / £1800,

Morning all, and hello and welcome to mrs_Badger (any relation to MSE Badger, by any chance ?
) and to fpcat. The more the merrier.
We came back from yesterday's jaunt with some great memories, a pile of secondhand books and a huge biscuit tin. Which Mum bought from a chazzer to hold the hairdressing kit which is overflowing a much smaller biscuit tin. I suggested that the smaller tin could thus be liberated but it was a folorn hope. It will apparently be kept to store something which has been perfectly happy either unstored or otherwise stored for the 10+ years the kit has been using this particular tin.
On the plus side, she did tell me her SIL had tried to declutter some of her own tins onto Mum and she had refused them. On the downside, she will likely be asking if she can have an old saucepan, orgiinally my late Grandma's who died in 1970, back from my other grandma, who we refer to as Nan.
You see, even after you leave this mortal coil, your Stuff is still circulating! :rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Mins game day 15
1 old towel cut up for rags
1 old pack of bathroom wipes. Very unenvironmental. Binned (at least our bin contents are burned for energy rather than landfill)
1 tube hand cream
1 tube moisturiser. I have several handcreams and moisturisers on the go so I think these count
1 out of date football season ticket of DS
1 useless duster
5 lots of old bills and bank statements
2 sets of old university notes
1 article from a magazine kept for Justin

Mins game day 15
A carrier bag full of various items from my undie drawers- the Holey or past it tights and undies are bin fodder, the still sealed packaged tights in styles I won't wear can go to the CS and the bras will go to an overseas charity via the box in oxfam.
There were at least 20 items.
Today I'm going to try on shoes so they may feature heavily on tomorrow's list
Have a joyful day allSPC~12 ot 124

I had to share my excitement with you :rotfl:
Yesterday a TYPE written invoice arrivedWritten on an old typewriter. I was amazed and just kept looking at it and smiling. When DH got home I left in on the side to see if he noticed it and it was the first thing he said 'That is typed':rotfl:It must be an old one as the letter e is a bit faint and has a bit missing
Come on has anyone got a typewritter lurking in the back of a cupboard I havent seen one for years
It made my day even more joyfulLittle things and all that
