Busy all day today so won't have time to post again till later.

Saw a new book on a similar vein to kondoing on Twitter yesterday I think it's out tomorrow titled "start with the sock drawer" it looks an interesting read from the excerpt I read.

I hope everyone is as well as they can be.

    Mins game day 7
1998 catalogue - yes the castor one
    A broken Venetian blind
About 30 pretty silver envelopes - dd3 is experimenting with them for wedding stationery
A full pack of large sized envelopes - given to dd3 who's selling some mags on eblay
10 old magazines of varying collectibility it seems - see above
Large piece of left over kitchen work surface - if Justin hasn't needed it in the 7 years it's been in the shed I doubt he'll need it now.
Empty grout tube - finished and binned.

    Morning all :D

Been busy re-visiting clothes :rotfl:Bet that made you laugh. Decided to pack holiday/hot sunny weather clothes away. Then it was so hot later I had to raid it to get something cool enough to wear so a bit pointless really :rotfl:

Another mainly T-shirts kondoed into (go out of here in a hurry) bag before I look in it again. So about 11 items in car to go today.

5 posh dresses going to be dropped at a friends as she wants to borrow one for a wedding but I will have them back when she is done but saves her buying one.

I read an article about the problems regarding all the clothes that are being shipped abroad and that there is just to many of them for these companies to deal with. It is really getting out of hand and they may stop buying them for a while to catch up with the backlog. I know the price is dropping and has gone in about 2 years from £6 for 8 kilos to now round about £1.50. I have also heard some Charity shops are not taking donations of clothes at all.Or going to bric a brac and furniture only. There is talk of the recycle companies starting to charge to take away the unwanted clothes like they do with Bric a brac. So lets hope it doesnt all end up in landfill. But it does make me question what the hell will happen if the Charity shops stop taking it.

Well the Ziffit box is packed except for some bubble wrap or something similar which is needed to fill it to the top of the box. And my trade price went up in the meantime, plus I also found a magic code to give me an extra 10 per cent, so around £18 will be on its way. Also the collection place is only round the corner, so a bonus there.

Thank you to the kind person on here who signposted me to Ziffit. x

  • I have spent the morning in the attic with DD. The car is full (very very full) of all sorts to go to the charity shop. DH is finding it quite stressful seeing so much go but is leaving us to get on with it. I keep distracting him with things to shred including my very first wage slips from 1983.

There is about a third of the attic left to do but I cannot get at that without moving all of DD's Uni stuff but as she is going back in about two weeks I will leave it until she's s gone.

Have found two cushion pads which I have used as some of the ones on the sofa are well past their best. Also found two crocheted blankets that she wants to take back with her.

The scary find was a dead sparrow  which I've got to move yet. I'm putting that off at the moment but will have to get it done soon as I can't leave it there.
I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order :D.

I have none as they are all now processed at the point of receipt and never get beyond the front door mat. :)

I was thinking last night 'The only trouble with this MK thing is that I now have no rubbish to use as packaging.' :rotfl:

Had to nip to Home Baggins for DD, bit miffed as I was there yesterday and had no idea she wanted stuff, but hey ho, squeezed it in during a break, and also picked up some freebies - clean small boxes made of stiff card - got 9 with lids direct from the shelf-stacker person, and so a bit of Tetris later and I'm fixed. It'll recycle at the Ziffit end, so no bubblewrap involved. :D

Of course, the very day I have a heavy box to handle, the lift is out of service, so it will have to be the stairs (sigh) if it is to leave today.
“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”

  • It's to hot to work in the attic now. DD is hovering up for me and I've done the CS and recycling runs.

Have found two pairs of jeans that fit me and a nice card holder/organiser that I will give to one of DH's aunties for Christmas.

Have removed the dead bird it was a bluetit not a sparrow. News to find where it got on and block it off.

I know it's all psychology but the house feels lighter to me now I have removed such a lot of stuff out of the attic. Even DH agrees and he would usually class that as mumbo jumbo.

I did clothes about six months ago but as I'm now two dress sizes smaller than I was then I think I will revisit that category today as well.

Really feel like I'm on a roll. :)

Afternoon all - so many of you are on a roll!! I'm trying to catch up with the mins game as RL has got in the way. However, today's haul is:
    Empty Shampoo bottle
    Defunct Calculator
Metal suction rack from bathroom (going rusty) replaced with a repurposed plastic one
    1 Birthday Card posted
    Multiple Recipts from Handbag
Packet of dried out wet wipes from my car
Plastic bag with bound edges and a popper stud closure that was being kept for Justin
    Tatty hand wipe sachet

I know thats 8 but don't really think the Birthday card counts ;)
