LOL don't put yourself out GQ - the wally trolley for an egg cup :p:rotfl: (i know you said books, but that aint so funny :D)
:p The funny bit is that I was so busy enjoying myself that I forgot the egg cup in my handbag and brought it back with me - doh!

Apart from lunch, and some sock wool for Mum, I bought nowt and had a lovely time, which isn't something you can often say of days out in mid-January, is it? But the sun was shining, it wasn't too cold, and it's supposed to be atrocious tomorrow, so I seized the day.

Am definitely going. Got the flights booked, all the accommodation, even sorted our innoculations. Not going is not an option. It's just the cost of all the day trips that are mounting up.

B*ggr it. The first half of my life was pretty cr*ppy. I might as well enjoy the life I've got now. OH might as well enjoy his life ( he's slowing down now, so I don't know how much time we'll have for daft adventures .) Carpe diem by the ruddy juglum.

I'll just have to Kondo my bank balance;)

  • Glad to hear you've booked it Fen1 - now go on, tell us where!

Sorry I'm not sure who it was posted above the line from a song 'nobody remembers you for the things you didn't do'. I actually had to draw a deep breath when I read that - so true, and neatly sums up my view on life.

    Thank you for that.
