KonMari 2016 - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

I've done all my ironing and clean out the tortoise after that I had a game of furniture Tetris and swapped positions of the sideboard and the piano. Dh knew something had changed and asked if I'd swapped the settees over, it took him a while to twig what I had moved.
I've got to ask does anyone in here watch celeb big brother, someone at work was telling Dh about it and told him the girl off Geordie shores claim to fame when she was asked what she was famous for. Her mother must be so proud of her, NOT!SPC~12 ot 124

Having spent an hour with a sewing machine, I have just put the newly altered duvet cover back on the bed. I didn't even bother pinning or tacking it, and it all worked out ok. It fits very well and the pattern now appears to be symmetrical which is a bonus. Bedroom needs a general tidy up which it can have tomorrow, then it will look the best it's been since moving in.
Next job will be the hall as it still contains the one remaining pile of paperwork.
I'm intrigued to know the claim to fame, I don't watch TV at all at home.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Sounds like you've done a very good job with the duvet Serendipitious.
Morning all.
Hope everyone is as well as they can be, hugs and supporting vibes where needed.
Weather looking ok here, so today's plan is weed killing and bin stuffing at mils. Then I've spotted some packaging that's been left in the spare room by one of the boys so that and the newspapers bin can be emptied plus this weeks shredding. Then I have some mending. Not hugely exciting but it's bits that can go or will be moved back to their regular homes.SPC~12 ot 124

Me and Dh couldn't believe that a young 'lady' would come out with such a thing so I googled "Geordie shore CBB best looking in Newcastle":o:rotfl: those three icons were a mixture of my reaction when I read it.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all
Kaz I am around for the rest of the week got a few bits and bobs to do plus clean the house as I have not even looked at it for about 2 weeks :rotfl:
The lady came and collected the 'stuff' and she cried bless her.Their van was full and she had to have a bag of stuff on her lap to get the last bag in :rotfl:When they went it was such a relief knowing all that stuff had been moved on and there was clear empty space where it had all satTrue MK feelings there for me.
I stood there and thought 'yep I am back on that train for the next part of the journey' Who knows where I will get off next
Started the healthy eating again and already feeling better for it I need to get on the scales and see the damage but that can wait until later on
Need to do a list and then go to the supermarket as dont have a lot of fruit veg etc in the house and if I am not prepared that is when I am at my very very worst :rotfl:

I don't watch TV much and usually have no idea who 'celebrities' are. I saw an ad last night about hair dye, with the woman endorsing it saying 'you could win a shopping trip with me' and I have no idea who she is! :rotfl:
Got to say (after laughing at the hamster stories) I love the idea of 'getting off the train'. It applies to MK, dieting, anything really - it makes it sound so much less like failing, more like taking a brief rest before continuing the journey. It's so easy to tell ourselves we've failed and then just give up altogether. I have not given up my daily walks, I just got off the train for a few days and today the sun is shining, and I hear that whistle blowing - I'm going to jump back on board!Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Mav, I think you have hit the nail on the head in your last sentence about being prepared. With regard to eating properly and keeping weight within suitable limits. I discovered my anxiety about food, which somehow I had never prev identified , started to plan meals the day before, and feel soooooo much more relaxed about it all. I never get to the stage of grabbing something with little nutritional value because'I am 'starving' - How we mis-use that word, eh?
I think the KM tidying magic is also about anxiety, for me at least. With reduced Stuff comes more peace and tranquillity and far less displaced stress looking for the right items of clothing in the morning!

I totally agree with this :T This is where KM works the best for me everything is stress free and easy. But I have got a bit of tweeking to do as I have been too busy to keep up with it all and have noticed a few things creeping into where they shouldnt be
But that is just lack of time on my part (I think) :rotfl:
DH is away until Sat so I should catch up with a fair bit of it but if a better offer comes in I will just say s*d it :rotfl:and do something more enjoyable. Yes Mrs MP looking forward to seeing you all next week hope Kaz will be able to join us.See I have already got something much more joyful to do next week

Well, I looked.
Silly girl. :rotfl:
Totally agree with the food prep, must do more meal planning here too. Would like to drop about 10lbs.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0
