:o I have done ironing. If VJsMum is passing by, she knows how rare an occurance this is.

Ironed the four tops which have been selected for departure, probably tomorrow. I have them back on the airing rack and will fold them into the bag just before I head up to the chazzer, which I think I may do after w*rk tomorrow. The rest of the bag is loaded with books and a DVD and is already tagged and ready to roll.

I will add a small rag-bag of worn out textiles to it, too, and it'll be good to see that outta here, as I was hanging fire to see if I'd still be paying income tax this month (yup).

A freegle pickup happened today but no interest in the Third Item. I'll leave it up there until I'm ready to take another donation bag and then it can exit that way if no one wants it for nowt.

I just lurve lurve lurve giving things away......... :rotfl:

I had a somewhat taxing start to the day, when I managed to clip a wooden post when driving out of my little private road onto the estate proper.
Needless to say, I've been driving past this particular post without incident for 4 and a half years now, so why I managed to clip it today is anyones guess! Been left with 3 deep scratches right down to the metal. Sigh! No one to blame, other than my own stupid self for this one!

Nothing on the telly so have spent most of this evening up and down to the loft. The books that were going to go up have been boxed up to go to the charity shop instead. Some other things needed to go up, so whilst up there I dug around in the bags of bedding/duvets. I think I may have found somewhere locally that accepts bedding which hopefully includes duvets. We had our cavity walls filled a few years ago and never use anything heavier than 4.5 togs. Mostly have 1.5 togs duvettes and some throws. Got several heavier weight ones to be dragged out and debated about on another day, but I've released a double duvet cover & pillow cases, 2 matching single duvet covers barely used, we have no single beds now and a matching pair of curtains, unfortunately can't find the pillow cases. A load of white/cream pillow cases also. And a brand new valence double sheet still in the packet (£13 in sale). Plus a duvet that has either died in storage or was the one we had dry cleaned and died then. Can't think why we would have kept it, but maybe Justin wanted it...... That one can go to the tip. Found a couple of towels one can go back into use, the other can go for a cat blanket. All covers currently going round in the washing machine.

Also found a bag that has been on the missing list for 10 years.

Started back on paperwork organization. I got distracted by reading. Hopefully I'll stay with it for longer than last time.

Duvet covers going round again in the machine. Can't work out why they still smell musty. Off to the CS this morning with books and rags, hoping to get a space outside before 9am so I can park.

Half the wash has been through the tumble drier with a scented sheet and I'm still not sure whether they smell musty. I've hung the whole lot on the line hoping the sun and wind will help.

If this is what the sheets are like, I suspect all the duvets in the loft will end up being condemmed as died in storage when we get to them.

DS2 and DS3's bedrooms have now been re-decorated and nothing has gone back in there without the joy factor being considered. This has led to lots of old papers being recycled, outgrown clothes being priced up for the NNS/ boxed up from DS2 for DS3, games with missing pieces being recycled/ binned, some bits donated elsewhere, old school uniform to school for spares etc. The rooms are staying tidy (with minimal tidying being done) and it's fab. Their clothes aren't folded MK style but that's fine - it's working well for them as it is :D;)

Off out in a mo to PO (DD's student finance forms and an ebay parcel) and CS - binliner of rags and a DVD player for them. Most disappointed I can't find anything else to go, but I've already been putting off the trip for almost a week in the hope of finding something else! :D

    Lovely sunny day here :)

    Hi all!
I'm new to the thread, I bought MK's book in February and have since tackled my clothes and books but it's taking me quite a while and I do think I need to go back over clothing a little to make a note of the items I've added since decluttering and seeing if anything else can go.

What I'm trying to do before moving on sections is clearing out items, now I had tons of label/designer clothes and books and while charity shops are awesome I could do with any extra cash. I've added most to Ebay but does anyone have any other tips on where to sell things?

Dreading the next section 'paperwork' it's what nightmares are made of!
