    :) Morning all.

Been up since 4 am as couldn't sleep but got some reading done plus some sections of a WIP. Did some of that yestereve, too, whilst watching a DVD which is now in the chazzer bag. Was a chazzer purchase itself, cost 99p and I've watched it twice, so time to let it spread joy elsewhere.

The WIP will itself cause a huge amount of stuff to leave when it's finished, but the intermediate stages involve a lot of material.

    Memo to self: I.must.not.accept.any.more.freebie.yarn.

Was joyfully taking a quantity of recycling out last night; plastic bottles from a cleaning product and a shampoo, plus other things. Couldn't have them around the kitchen one second longer.

Just realised that I have a gas engineer in there first thing on Weds and that, apart from a quick swipe across the counters, nothing will need to be done to avoid social shame. It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Today will be working, which will involve decluttering using the scrap paper and short pencils, then we will see what the evening brings. As I've been up silly early, I suspect it'll bring and early night, most likely.

    Have a good day, folks.

    Morning all
Bag containing the capes is going to school this morning, load of bead bags of courage cut out last night ready to sew later, then they can go to the hospital. (Children's oncology)
Dd1 came round yesterday, I asked her to bring her steam mop to show me how it works and see if it would make a difference on our stone tiled floor. Wow! She clean the whole kitchen and hall floors they now look like new. Is it a bit sad to say one of those would bring me great joy?
Busy all day today but need to find a box and start wrapping and boxing the ornaments that asked to leave yesterday.

Have a joyfilled day all, or at least create yourselves a little oasis of joy in a 1/2 hour segment of it.

    Ps.
I used to love lush and have been a customer since their cosmetics to go mail order days but recently I've stopped feeling the love and it just seems to have gone very commercial and over priced. Considering it is all natural and etc the shop now seems to have a very synthetic aroma to it as you pass, I went in at Christmas but came out without buying as I just didn't feel the love for anything.
I'm not saying I ont buy again just want to use up the toiletries I have am before buying anymore from anywhere.

Well I've just Kondo'd a big chunk of work to my supplier to deal with for the next week. Will have to double check things with them a little later, but time for me to catch up on admin and breathe for a few days.

However. We. Have. Visitors. Next weekend. So much tidying with a purpose will be done this week. Will Kondo what I can as part of the 'tidying'.

The books I cleared from the bookcase I wanted OH to go through before stashing in the loft are still in a box in the back bedroom, as they've been for the past couple of months. I think they may just find their way to the charity shop this week......... We've been together 15 years. I don't ever recall him re-reading a novel in all that time. Neither he nor I could tell you what's missing from the bookcase and is therefore in the box.

Morning all :D The 'Woo' May have been me I cant remember but it could have been 'iTwin' Who helped us all so much at the start and who I still sadly miss after all this time.Just hope she is happy spending time with her new Grandchild.:)

Well short notice for friends staying at the weekend (let me know on Thursday). No problem now ;) Everything where it should be and sorted out in about 5 mins ;)We had a lovely relaxing time catching up and a real laugh in the process.
They went home with £20 worth of raffle tickets ;) and a promise to make me a game for the fete and to provide the prizes for it as well :TSo the 'woo' factor strikes again;)

I love the song and will be singing it later I am sure.

Talking of 'Lush' my friend also gets really bad headaches from just walking past so when (if) we venture into the big City :rotfl:We have to avoid it and do a long detour to get where we need to.

Dad has managed to 'kondo' medication' that he needs so have to go to the Doctors today to try and sort that out not good on a Monday morning:eek: Always packed and not that helpful but I find if I stand my ground and dont let them fob me off while being super polite and nice it normally works ;)

I have had a thought 'I still have TOO MANY CLOTHES':o

How I have no idea when I think of how many have made their way to the chazzer to start a new life :oBut I would like to kondo a cupboard thingy in the Bedroom which holds too many shoes and ankle boots. So if I can cull big style it can go off to someone else to store unwanted 'stuff' in ;) Then I can move the tallboy into the space its left behind to free up another wall :D

So will wait until I have some time to go for it and just 'Do it' :rotfl:

Glad everyone is still on the train and staying on till the final station (which sadly is always one stop on from the one you thought);)

Mavvy, destination addiction is a dangerous thing. I'm enjoying the journey even if it is a slow one. I think that's why we are all doing so well, we are admiring the scenery and taking time instead of rushing and missing things along the way.
Wherever we end up I'm sure it will be wonderful but I for one a. Just enjoying the ride.

Mrs Mp I am the clothes queen as we all know :rotfl:I am also the steam mop queen (sad and also weird)

I have had about everyone on the market :rotfl:But always go back to the H2o x 5 I think its by far the best but the handle is pretty filmsy if you are heavy handed like me. But you can now buy replacement handles for a few quid so others are also heavy handed.
The shark is far to heavy and gets too wet for my liking (kondoed to my Dads ) and I use it down there about once every two weeks.
Vax very good but never last long (in my case) and always block with limescale if they are moved about much :(
Never get one which you have to put the pads on it with velcro or elastic (I always called it 'putting its knickers on' as it drives me mad go for one that that it just sits on the pad.

I always use half distiled water now and half tap and it seems to keep them going longer :( and never put zoflora in the water (its a sure way) to b*gger them up ;) I have learnt that one pretty sharpish :D

Oh that Justin bloke has a lot to answer for doesn't he?

I've just been putting bed linen in the airing cupboard. With visitors next week, we've swapped bedrooms. We were sleeping in the room we usually use for guests as it is further from the bathrooms and disturbed me less with OH getting up at sparrows-fart on Monday to leave for the week. But last night we made up the bed for our guests and swapped back into our normal room. Bed linen was shifted around and now is the time for the old bed linen to go to charity and the new stuff I bought a few weeks back to be used in the proper room it was intended for.

I've yet to find a way of folding a fitted sheet that has an attached valance in a MK way, I can't seem to get it to work in the same way as an ordinary fitted sheet, so they are sort of folded and rolled to become sort-of tidy.

Anyway, my eyes alight on a set of bed linen we used to use, but doesn't really go in our yellow guest bedroom as it has too much yellow in it. I've ummed and ahhed as in theory it could be used in the 2nd guest bedroom... but we've never had two lots of guests using two bedrooms at the same time. And even if we did, there's some spare plain blue that we do use that would 'do'. So I've decided the yellow set can go. But there's a fitted sheet that fits the sofa bed that's in the 2nd guest bedroom (my ironing room really)............ and Justin insists I keep it.......... Justin case we ever have the situation of OH working away from home again long term and taking the sofabed with him as happened before........ Oh dear, it's just a spare fitted sheet, it doesn't take up a vast volume of space. But it probably could go...... but isn't going just yet.

    Get thee behind me Justin........

Oh, and komono on the bedside cabinet OH was using..... a Midland Bank bag with old 10p and 1/2p coins (will chuck in the foreign coin collection at the bank), a plug for plugging a phone into that supresses the broadband noise, a set of earplugs (I'm the light sleeper) and a bunch of about 5 keys that look like suitcase padlock keys. We've only been using this room for a few weeks, where has this carp appeared from?

  • My D D and family were here for lunch yesterday. I gave her a pair of winter boots that were sadly too small for me. Really good condition and they used to be comfy, but weirdly recently one of my toes seems to have grown longer and the boots gave me a black toenail. Yuck.

It happened twice, so I reluctantly parted with said boots. Too good for charity shops and as they say, charity begins at home. :rotfl:

Cash strapped daughter was well pleased and happily received a couple of bits of my late sister's jewellery hoard I didn't want.

I proudly showed off my kondo ed drawers. She scoffed. I don't care - I love them.
