KonMari 2016 - The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up

I think it may have been mavvymoo who coined the term 'woo' for the observable phenomenon that wonderful things happen when you start releasing your excess.
A lot of us have had anxieties about releasing, fear of want etc, and have found that the opposite is often true; we get more opportunities even money-making opportunities, or the right thing which we were contemplating buying just resurfaces from the hoard or falls into our lap.
The amount of times it happens is truly magical, and I'm the polar opposite of a dippy-hippy droning on about karma, maaaan.:rotfl:
Great work going on in so many lives, it's really cheering to read about it. I love sharing all your stories.
Today, for the first time in about 4 days, it isn't raining. Whee! I am easing into the day and then will go to the allotment. The wetness of the soil will hamper some plans but I should be able to get some stuff done and also plan a side-trip to the HWRC with some small bits and bobs. Only having a pushbike means that I have to piece this kind of job into small sections.
I really love being out of doors so am looking forward to pottering about up there in the sunshine. Much more of this rain and I would have been checking my important little places for moss.:rotfl:Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Fen1 I've been absent without even lurking since NewYear, you're genius song just hooked me right back in. I only had the book from my local library for the allotted 3 weeks b4 some other person requested it. I've stared Kondo in my own small way and her beautiful book 'SJ' is sitting nearby. I've had to tell myself I don't need to own TLCMOT! Yesterday I took a green vase, (no longer sparked joy as it's colour melted in the dishwasher), a top that didn't fit, and two gift sets unused since Christmas from lovely pupils in a Tatton Park 2013 bag to CS! Hopefully they'll bring joy to someone else and can this count as my 'thank you' , I surely have no time to write letters to them!‘One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to things’ said Mole.Cross stitch cafe TaDa Enjoy the Little Things, WIP Love cats, ‘A Year in the Life of’ HSC July-December and The Seasons graphic sampler. If you offer them on freegle/ freecycle, you may find takers, otherwise these can go in household recycling bins.

Morning kondoers
Hope all are well
Loved the song
Capes are bagged day to go to school. I actually used the fabric mil gave me as I think the children wil, be far happier wearing it than anyone being likely to make it into dresses.
Had a quick tidy in our room as some ornaments suddenly started shouting at me they'd be happier in the CS. They have been put in a cupboard for now so I can wash and box them on my day off.
Got some more sewing I can do today to release some fabric from the stash,
Waiting to hear from dd1 who may come for dinner today.
Have a lovley joyful day allSPC~12 ot 124

Still a lot more to be done, and I may take a saw to the remaining low branches, before I stand on a chair and start to get to the ones still at full overhang, which now start at about 8' in the air
its about 20 feet high now
:o:o and if I can thin it back, then either I can cut it myself or not get charged too much when I bring in A Man That Can.

I had another blitz last night and have thrown out some more stuff and reorganised some more things.
I just cleaned the bathroom and threw away a Lush soap bar that someone bought me as I don't like it, sorry.:o I just have my bottle of bath foam on the bath which does spark joy.0 -
Good morning all! Hope all are well!
I must say, it's nice to have a bit of sunshine today, especially after yesterday was so miserable!
I'm about to pop out to lunch with my best mate, which should be nice. She's been ill with a stomach hernia for some months, which have played havoc with her appetite, so meals together have been scuppered for a long time. Anyway, she's finally feeling a lot better, so we're having a meal to celebrate!
It's not until 1pm, but I need to nip to the retail park to visit Boots for painkillers and the pound shop for a couple of bits for school.
Tomorrow I will be taking all my cardboard recycling in to school for the children to build models with, so that will be good to get out the house!Because it's fun to have money!

Wednesday2000 - I never, ever use Lush, not after using a couple of their products and coming down with the worst skin allergies I'd ever had. The attack lasted over 2 years, and my skin has never been the same, not that it was that great beforehand ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0
