Argh...... for ages we've thought we need to take a panel off the front of our tumble dryer which looks like you need to clean something behind it, but couldn't work out how it comes off. Yesterday I dug out the instruction book to discover we should have been cleaning the condenser unit..... whoops, only had the machine 8 years and it's never been cleaned (we don't use the dryer a huge amount but even so.....) so I emailed the manufacturer and apparently there's a tool to get the panel off. Phoned an expensive looking number, hung on for ages, had a slightly unnerving time handing over my card details as he couldn't get them to go through on their touch tone system. Anyway, I go to put the instruction manual away......... and the wretched tool we didn't think we'd got dropped out from the bag the guarantee details were in. So shortly I'll have two of these things. And having seen the 'tool' I realise we could probably have opened the door with a credit card slipped in the slot. Ho hum.

Found another unexposed film so that's gone in the bin along with some old makeup, dead pens, odds of crap. Where does it all come from?

:p It's kipple. As in per a word coined by the late great Philip K D i c K, SF author, in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? Filmed as Bladerunner.

Kipple mentioned in passing as all those kind of little fiddly rubbishy things which seem to come from nowhere. One of the novel's characters thought the kipple was breeding and was threatening to take over the world.

We recognise that phenomenon, hey? ;)

Nipped into the GP for my script and got a leaflet of info I already had stapled to it, so detached that and added it into the recycling bin as I passed. I try not to let that stuff into the flat, it's too easy for it to settle like leaves on the forest floor and, before you know where you are, you have a strata of papery kipple developing and possibly flora and fauna setting up housekeeping in it.

Kitchen is looking pretty good, I am really enjoying the wide open spaces on my small counters, having something you can use and quickly wipe clean is such a blessing.

Congrats on the sofa Mavvymoo and thank you for your reply. Unfortunately we don't have a market like yours nearby but will keep an eye out.
You lot are having an influence on me. Did a bit of kondoing last year and those areas have stayed tidy. Had a brainstorm last night and rearranged my wardrobes this morning (couldn't sleep for wanting to do it) and managed 3/4 bag of clothes to chuck. Things are more organised now so thanks to you all xx

    Morning all
Did anyone watch how to shop well for less last night? It could have had the sub title filling your house with duplicates because you binge shop. I honestly couldn't believe how much stuff they had and how flippantly they shopped. I know a lot of that is for the camera but it was obvious where their money was going.

Took a few bits of tat - free with comic, unused pencils and small notebooks etc to school for the class prize box. Teacher was thrilled.
Kondoed a broken brolly, I hardly ever use one and there was 3 on the shelf by the door, used one that was broken so it's now gone and I have 2 left plus the 2 giant golfing brollies but ds1 uses one of those if it's wet in the mornings and occasionally leaves one at work so 2 are ok.

    Have a joyful day all.

shanks77 Thats a shame just keep an eye out something will come along soon I am sure. Now you are thinking kondo ;) I so hope you can report a woo moment regarding this cushion lark :D Keep posting and letting us know how you are doing :)

Mrs MP Yes I saw 'Shop well for less' But for me there was so much information missing they never said where any of the clothes came from.and Im sure with the pretty dresses that the little girl got people would have liked to know.

I made me laugh when they were flitting around JL buying random stuff that they never needed and ended up spending £420 wish I had also known if they had debt due to the stupid spending but no one ever said. So if they can afford it then is up to them how they spend money.

Oh well another hour of my life wasted :D watching this.

DH Is going to an interview on Friday for a job (he freelances) This is home based for 4 days a week and 1 day out
So if he gets it then the spare room is going have to be turned into some sort of office :( As I cant have 'work stuff' laying around the rest of the house :rotfl:So going to be another change round not sure if I can stand it :D

So if he gets it I think another major kondo is on its way. I am going to have a change around when the new sofas get here and see if anything else can go to the furniture charity. Less is more I think so another 2 items maybe on that van Wednesday ;)

    Have a lovely day all
