Morning,
I wear make up every day. it makes me feel better. I wear eye make up every day and add tinted moisturiser if i am going out. i take it off and "wash" my face with almond oil every night. In fact with eating almonds as a snack, drinking almond milk, eating almond nut butter and putting almond oil on my face I am surprised i don't look like a chuffin almond :rotfl: I may be the sole person responsible for the California drought
We have a sofa donated by the MiL who was getting rid, we have had it about 16 years. Though we did buy new leather sofas for the other (:o) lounge last year from a remaindered stock place.
And i have just been told that I've kondoed 10 years since leaving workI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
As part of the kondo of the bathroom, I renewed my make up kit. I love dressing up in different looks and the make up can then change the look more. I wear glitter as eyeshadow about once a month so it's a worthwhile use of a small shelf for all my make up:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0

Slinky if you haven't already binned/recycled them those old street maps are fab for crafting so they would most likely get snapped up on freecycle CS or eblay.
Back from hospital with mil just downing coffee and a sarni before work.
Have a good day allSPC~12 ot 124

Hello peeps
I made a small start last night feeling full of enthusiasm and did achieve quite a bit, a bag full of rags plus around two thirds of a bag of decent stuff. I need to go back to it though as there are things that I haven't got rid of previously that I still didn't put in the bag last night. A few of the things I feel guilty getting rid of as I've either not worn them or barely worn them and feel like I should! I guess they aren't sparking joy if they're making me feel guilty so they should go. I do need to try a couple of things on to see if they still fit as I pulled out a cardigan a few weeks ago to start wearing again after years of being in there only to find it didn't fit, I'm not a size small anymore. One thing I'm really struggling with is a particular cardigan. It was from Next back in the 90's, grey with a zip and detachable fur collar and cuffs. Very trendy at the time, for me anyway and I loved wearing it in my glory going out days when I was young. It sparks joy (I'm smiling thinking about it) but I know I will probably never wear it again even if it fits. What should I do with it? Maybe I should frame it :rotfl:.
I have a couple of pairs of trousers I'm unsure about, I can wear jeans to work but if I were to change my job these trousers would fit the bill (if they still fit that is) so I've kept hold of them. Now, changing job would be nice but I'm not actively pursuing it so should they go now?
Talking about my cardigan has made me remember I have a gorgeous pair of sandals that I wore once back in the glory days, denim wedge affairs. I'm going to be so torn over those as they deserve to be on a shelf on full view.
This is all a bit harder than I thought0 -

Firstly see if they fit you. If they do, do they suit you/look good on you? Are there other occasions when you wont be able to wear jeans... like funerals etc or do you have other smart clothes that you can wear? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Mr5s MP - thanks for the tip about maps - Ive got some US and European ones and some charts that came with my boat (for places I'll never sail to and out of date !!) so they're going on Freecycle.
Finished up a jar of chilli powder - don't use that type now so that's something gone! Got some shin of beef in the slow cooker & asked DH if he had any dark beer (he doesn't drink it but buys it sometimes for visitors) so that's one of his cans Kondo'dJust small things going but things are definitely moving out
Have a good Kondo day all xSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Ladybee. Re the grey cardie that doesn't fit.....can you use the collars and cuffs on something else, another cardigan or jacket. I do love a bit of fur trimming.:rotfl:
I have decided that beige does not give me joy. It does not flatter me it makes me look old, tired and washed out. I hate it ..........my late husband always hated me wearing it and under his influences I stopped wearing it.
Since his death it has crept back into my wardrobe. Why?. Is it because it reflected my grief and made me feel "safe" and invisible.
Well I'm fed up of being invisible so out it goes........bring on colour.........;)
On of the beige coats I shall be getting rid of has a detachable fur collar which I shall keep to jazz up other outfits. It is so warm and cosy and always looks dead glamourous.
Make up?? I love wearing slap - it makes me look almost human. :rotfl:
This Kondo Magic is really working......letting go and letting in the woo.
This month I've had a nice fat juicy tax rebate, three small premium bond wins, and made £50 on the Bay of E. Wahoo:j:j0 -
