Massive congratulations on the weight loss that's brilliant, def worth a peak, I'm lethal with Argos sales.

Love the earrings what a bargain xxx

We've got Bailey (the very spoilt pooch) back home he had to have a operation - growth removed on his paw and one of his toes, - he's def feeling sorry for himself xxx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • Wow. Nice job on the WW and on the jewellery deal.

Poor Bailey. I hate when the fur babies are Ill. They always seem so pathetic and helpless. Hope he's ok soon. I have one cat who is a nightmare when she's ill and will fight like crazy when you try to get her into the carrier and even more when you have to give tablets. And the other who will wander into a carrier like it's a fun place and happily eat a tablet with no bribing, tricks or sneak attacks.

Got lots of emails today about sales. Very tempted by the Debenhams one. Always seems nice bits in there. But darent look right now. I know i would be sucked in and we've just ordered a mass of things for the nursery and have to go pram shopping this weekend.

I have however bought myself some soap/lip balm/bath bomb making bits. Been wanting to have a go for ages. Love anything crafty. So thought when I finish work in a few weeks it'll keep me occupied til madam makes an appearance. Plus. If I'm any good they might make nice little stocking fillers.

Shopping throughout the year for Xmas is something I've done for 5+ years and I enjoy being organised. For a couple of months, I've been feeling rather uninspired with it all. Bargains seem to be lacking and I haven't seen any suitable gifts when I've been out and about. It feels like I haven't been able to cross anyone off my 'to buy for...' list for ages.

I feel like I've got my mojo back as ideas have started to flow. I got an idea for a present on the way home from work today and another idea has just come to me, as I was typing this post.

My small westie is currently on 8 tablets a day as he has bone cancer. We were mixing the tablets into a tablespoon of wet dog food, which he was willingly eating until last night. My DS and I are now having to force them down his throat whilst holding his chin up so that he cannot spit them out. Maybe one of these two methods will work for you.

Not sure if your vet sell them. But ours have a tablet dropper. Pound each. Looks like a syringe but with a clasp at the end. It grabs the tablet and then you open their mouth and drop it right to the back of their throat so they have to swallow it. Magic!

    Hello!
Yes I am back. Problem is that the computer is in an awkward position and I have to keep the leg elevated so can't sit here for long as it's not comfortable (to put it mildly!!)

Operation seems to have gone well.
Got a general anaesthethetic- what I wanted, 1st on the theatre list so not long to worry. Went in last Tues and out Friday lunchtime (ie just over a week ago.) Knee is still very swollen and I'm taking the painkillers but not so religiously now!
Had my first shower!- oh what a treat. (Begged from a neighbour who then has to fight to get the socks on!)
I'm living downstairs for the moment but have tackled normal stairs- maybe go to my bed next week?? Miss the memory foam mattress. Other than that I'm walking further each day, hanging out the washing, getting meals etc.
The worst exercise is bending the knee back as far as poss and it hasn't done that for years. It's at 70 degrees and needs to be 90.....really really tear jerkingly painful doing that.
Can walk around the house without crutches.
Don't know when dogs will come home, maybe another 2 weeks? or maybe my boy will come 1st as he can walk nicely to heel.
    Staples out next Tuesday.

Had brilliant news day before the op- the claims agency for travel agents paid up all the money so overall I only lost around £120 for the excesses, medical report etc. I e-mailed straight back to thank them- settled in 5 working days- amazing

That's it- must go get a light meal. Think the blood thinning tablets disagree with me, but less than a week's worth to go.......
