Mooloo's little tapestry of life, 2016

Resting after a tooth extraction and a temporary bridge!
I have had a sleep, managed a cup of tea through a straw and looked at my latest SOA. Not surprisingly I have gone backwards a bit, but am actually only £65 behind where I was in February and with all my purchases, and two holidays.
So I am pleased really.
But now it's time to look at the budget again and rebuild the savings and knock down the debt. Even if it is on 0% financeWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning from the Mooloo's household. I still feel tired, and my jaw aches, but I know I will feel better soon. I have a few chores to catch up on but that's nothing new.
I went to bed about 9pm and listened to one of my self help hypnosis tapes. I haven't used them for months. Probably the winter.
I wish to continue to improve my state of mind and continue to rise above the depressed feeling of the last few weeks.
Unless a lot of work came in the shop yesterday I have only a few days work in to do. The flags for the Rugby club are priority today, after two school uniform suits are sorted. As far as I know the rest I have a week to do, although I will do them sooner rather than later if possible.
I need to do some sorting out in the shop, some website work and some makes.
I wish to picture some of the bags etc that are still in stock and try to sell them online. So I can make new things for the shop, and refresh the place.
Steppingstones are closed for the next two days for a deep clean which I had not been aware of when I booked DGD in for care. So I was shocked on Tuesday to be told. Luckily my new neighbour told me there were spaces where her girl goes, and I have with her help secured a place there for the two days, however tomorrow they are going to Wicksteed park so it's an extra £22 so £64 for the two days!
Eek
I will be asking for a receipt so at the end of the year I can make sure I have claimed what I spend on my forms for tax credits and housing benefit. I don't want to be stung with high bills etc again next year.
I'm still waiting for the council to get back to me on my appeal! We have 4 weeks to answer them but they seem to take as long as they like. ( although it is probably 10 days off of the month since I appealed.)
I better get up and make the lunchboxes and make sure madam is ready as the neighbour is taking her today.

As usual the plan went out of the window a bit.
I ended up doing the suits, some curtains, a jeans zip, a split seam repair, and a trouser hem, followed by an urgent let out of a pair of snazzy red trousers for some gentleman!
I didn't get the flags started, and I ended up with a mercy mission for another seamstress who made a mess of a hem and came to me to rescue it. So I had her sitting unpicking it, until the last 30 minutes where I also unpicked from the other end! Then I hemmed on the overlocker.
It was 5.30 before we had finished.
I had to pop back to the dentist as the bridge was too rough and caused blisters on my lip, and so also a trip to the chemist for some bonjela ( other brands are available). I bought a couple of hair dyes while I was at it, ready to book the hairdresser for another cut on her return from her holiday.
I started a new Finance note book, where I keep track of my bank accounts, and the new budget for September. I have a larger council tax DD and rent DD this month.
I won't be able to replace the emergency funds this month but I should be able to next month.
DGD is off to the neighbours now to happily go off with their school holiday club as its a day out in Whicksteed park.
I don't have to take anything heavy today so I can walk to work and save fuel and mileage on the car.
I still need to do the computer work and take photos of the things I want to sell on line.
The neighbour has just told me her little girls bike has been stolen. She only got it last week. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening.
I walked into work, wearing sandals but came home wearing shoes as it was raining, but I have ended up with blisters on my heels.
I concentrated on the flags. Which was lucky as the man came in to see how they were doing and to tell me they are needed by Friday next.
I had my Veg delivery, and also bought some reduced salad stuff from the coop on my way home.
I'm now sitting with my feet up, and have updated the blog. http://mooloo61.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/flags-galore.html?m=1
But still trying to think of what I blog about.
Any ideas let me know. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning.
As usual I check my email and have my cup of tea in bed.
This morning I see that another person has booked a spot on the sewing course! So that is brilliant.
I am liking this LOA stuff! I told my self yesterday that it was brilliant that my lessons are all full, and that things were going great with the shop. Two nights on the trot, and two bookings at £99 each ( although PayPal takes its share).
I still have the flags to do today, although yesterday morning there was only the flags and two skirts left to do, I was confident that I would have plenty of work coming in, and that I was not worried about the empty shelves. While I was sewing the flags staff was serving in the shop and filling up the racks and shelves behind me, so as expected the work is coming in.
Today my little student is working in the shop and she can help me with the flags.
On another note DGD is coming to work with me, as she is not happy to go to the neighbour because they are going to the neighbour's Mums.
I have decided that I will just take her with me, and save paying out.
I have one girl to teach for an hour, and DGD will have to just keep my Saturday girl (student that was) company.
So to get on and keep positive and then I can keep " manifesting " my future. What fun!
Wonder where my extra £30 will come from today? When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I have done as much as I could with the flags, 14 finished but waiting for tape to arrive to do the last few.
DGD wasn't too bad, and she wanted to do some makes, so http://mooloo61.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/entertaining-dgd.html?m=1
Here is what we got up to! emoji cushion.
We have gained a hamster so she's all happy, and I wonder how long it will take before it escapes.
I only managed to make £10 today, ( extra from work), but I didn't pay a babysitter so I saved £25 there.
Tonight my friend is coming to dinner, so I have made a smoked beef chilli, and some panacotta for pudding. Although I only had single cream so will just have to see if it sets. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Today my house needs the attention. From some where I must muscle up the energy to face the jobs I have been neglecting, do the washing, and face the ironing mountain, and sort out DGD for school tomorrow. There are uniforms to label and hems to turn up on trousers. I think we probably need to get shoes again as her new ones bought at the end of term seem to be too small already!
Ooh dear!
I better get moving now I've had my tea. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Your DGD making an emoji cushion instead of you shelling out £25 sounds like a bargain to me. Your DGD sounds quite creative. I thought her cushion looked great. Does she have any other ideas she fancies (with some help) trying out on Saturdays?0

I think we made it more than she did, but she was absorbed and happy with it. She does have a thing for cushions!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
hopefully she'll develop her skills Mooloo... in the meantime maybe you should get her to help you make another one and see whether it sells
Or maybe you could make up kits? Or offer emoji cushion-making for kids' parties (with a choice from ones you know you can do cost-effectively).
