long time lurker here
is there room in the dry cleaners premises to re-locate your alterations business to at the end of your lease?
Just a thought x0 -
I think I would like to stay where I am if I can afford it. I feel that downsizing my space could compromise any future expansion of i wanted it.
For example if I wanted to move the working space up to the top floor and expand the retail space one day I could.
Although I would really like to get the lessons sorted out better.
I would like to possibly go on some courses that others provide and see how they do it, and get advice. I know that it is down to the marketing of the business which I don't really do that well. I suppose it's also a cost relative equation too.
My landlord has emailed me about the insurance policy due. So I have written back, and mentioned in passing about how the business is and that I still rely on Benefits but that I am now getting a small wage. That I'm studying the figures and it will depend on whether he is willing to extend the lease, and the costings.
So he knows what the situation is. We have a full year left at the moment.
I would need 2 more years at least, if I take on my apprentice. But it is all down to costs.
I'm at work, the kettle is on, I just want to run the vacuum around before I open. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Finally feeling a bit more like my self today at last. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0

Time for bed.
Spent the evening with my near neighbour down at the local pub, for dinner.
Feeling so much better than in the last few weeks.
Here's hoping that I found my mojo again.
My life is certainly better than hers at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Good morning at work. About £180 cash to bank on Tuesday and £57.50 in the card machine.
I did a few jobs but spent most of the day up and down the stairs with fittings, etc and to serve in the shop.
I'm home now, feet up with the TV and a cuppa, but I do need to change the bed etc and still haven't tackled the ironing pile. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Another day off.
DGD is off Banger racing with her little friend and her family. Once I've done my chores I'm taking my Mum to look at sofas.
I was busy on Saturday at work, and yesterday I went to look at cookers and fridge freezers in MK. I had my mind set on Red ones, but they only had integral ones or huge ranges. I did see a cream and black cooker I quite liked, but no fridges to match. So I went on line. I can get either colour on AO.com, but now can't decide if I should go for red or cream. My friend prefers the cream. So yet again I didn't get either. Just sandpaper to do the kitchen walls before I finish painting it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Kitchen painted, washings out, and I took Mum to MK to order her Sofa from M&S.
Back via the local Pub, quick drink with Mum in the courtyard in the sun shine.
I'm home now, and time to relax.
Tomorrow we are back to work and I am hoping that my Mojo is back. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I have woken before the alarm, weird dreams woke me, or was it next door getting up and banging around? Well they are now anyway.
The kettle beside the bed is on, so I will soon have a cup of tea before I have to move.
One more week of DGD at Steppingstones and then it's back to school and the start of her new year and my third year in the shop begins too.
Feeling tired but a bit more positive than of late.
Spoke with my brother in France on Skype and he is compiling a book about our childhood in Africa spurred on by a forum he is on out there.
Although he has more memories of it than I do, being 6 years older than me, but he has my Dads sense of humour and you can see that in the way he talks.
As he is retired and working on his house is nearly finished I suspect that he will manage his book long before I ever get around to it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Changed my mind and got myself black appliances. I saved £200 by changing the colours. The white Walls and ceiling should set it off nicely.
I have found a way to juggle my savings etc and finally decided that I would be able to have the replacement appliances sooner rather than later.
It does mean that the bank of Moo is rather depleted but for me not for any other members of my family!
Yeah!
I had a good day at work today and managed to finish £174.50 worth of work.
The jobs are coming in more slowly at the moment so I don't have any pressure at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
So I have reserected my blog.
Not easy, as I know I didn't get it right first time and nobody really knows it's out there.

So for those who asked or suggested a blog here, I hope is a link to the latest update.
To those of you here who follow me I may repeat myself in places, so if you read both I apologise!
But today the post is different.
Today I have the dentist!
I start private treatment to remove the wobbly tooth, have a temporary bridge, and once the bone has healed in two months time an implant to replace the gap!
I lost trust in the NHS practice I went too near the shop. My teeth were fine until a trip to the heavy handed hygienist. Results were within a few days I had to have one tooth out, and the other no longer supported by its companion is unstable.
Luckily my Mum is helping me.
She has helped me so much lately. I have been very lucky to have such a wonderful Mum, and Dad, when he was alive.
For today I better sign off and get ready!
Have a good day X
I think I am coming out the other side of the bout of depression at lastWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
