So is that reduction going forward, or just because the council are trying to claw back what they say are overpayments? If the latter, why can't you have your normal entitlement and then the council claw back the money at £10 a week, or even a month?

The £45 reductions are in Child taxcredits.
    Reducing my overall income.
The new HB has been amended again, and will be slightly higher but as they are reclaiming £26.57 a week it leaves only the £13 odd.
So I need to find £101. Odd out of the income to pay the rent. I don't know what the council tax repayment will be yet. But I was paying £8 a month, they now want £122 a month for this year. The near £1,000 they want back we are yet to decide if it will be that much and how to find it.
I can't negotiate until I get a review of the counter claims.
My immediate worry is finding the money to pay the rent and the future tax. The arrears they are taking away from my allowance so I don't currently have any control over that.
My savings will cover the rent for two maybe three months. Hopefully by then it will be adjusted and negotiated into the future.
But I will have to be a money magician for at least 3 years.

Today DGD came to work with me until her Mum came to collect her. She was very good today once we got there anyway. But she has gone now and I won't see her until about the 12th of August! Won't know what to do with myself.
I stayed at work until 6.30 Tonight but hunger finally made me give up.
I did some very strange jobs.
The first job was to hand sew motifs on an evening top, which took an hour.
The I made a dress out of two scarves, split a long dress into a skirt and top, all for one customer. Followed by shortening a pair of trousers for a regular. Then I shortened some shorts, lifted a dress on the shoulders, did two fittings. Took a pleat and fabric out of a dress shirt and reelasticated a sheet. Trimmed a hat with ribbon for a wedding.
    I think that's it anyway.
Tomorrow is my day off as its my 55th Birthday and I am going to enjoy a lie in with no child to wake me, no alarms and nothing set to any time scale.
I will be back to work Saturday though as there is a lot to do.
I have had the go ahead for a whole lot of flags for the rugby club as well as the curtains and Roman blind that was confirmed yesterday.
So busy time ahead. Luckily not everything is for next week.

Happy Birthday Mooloo - hope you have a wonderful, lazy day. Just think back over the last 8 years and see how far you have travelled - your own (secure) home, your own (fairly successful) business, your children settling into their own (albeit chaotic) independant lives - give yourself a pat on the back - well done you xxxx
