Mooloo's little tapestry of life, 2016

Here at work and about to open up. Expect a busy morning of fittings and collections.
Our work experience girl has now finished but she was a help not a hinderance and I would gladly employ her in the future if I had the chance and could afford it.
Time to face the day. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I hope you've told her that Mooloo! She may be a good person to have in mind for the odd bit of casual work filling in for staff leave or sickness, and possibly for when your current staff retires...0

Yes I have told her. I also wrote a glowing report in her book from school.
She came in today with flowers, biscuits and chocolates as well as a thank you card from her Mum.
I said if Staff has another holiday and she's around I would offer her the work. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
The council have acknowledged my counter claims on my benefit and returned the evidence that I provided and a Benefits Adviser is reviewing my case. So I will just have to wait and see what happens.
It's a lovely day. I have enjoyed the day, we went for a walk around Willen Lakes and had a little picnic. Just with ham rolls, flap jack and fruit juice. But it was fine.
DGD is off playing with the new neighbours again. I find myself watching Nanny McFee!!!

A busy week ahead of me.
One bridesmaids dress with major alterations to finish today. Some 60 other smaller jobs in to tackle. The Wages, the HMRC tax bill, the weeks record keeping. Clothes to iron and sort, and DGDs bag to pack all by the close of Wednesday.
Thursday DGD will have to come to work with me and then her Mum will collect her around Lunchtime.
Friday I am taking the day off from Work as its my Birthday and I am going out, weather permitting to the canal or something.
Sunday we are invited to a BBQ, and to meet my friends new grandchild.
So I am not sure when I will get the kitchen painting done or start on the big room to move DGD in.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Wow it's a hot day today.
I just detoured to the local pub for a nice cold beer. I'd walked from the shop to the school, and regret that I was wearing skin tight jeans!

Morning.
I'm going to find a summer dress today, so it may rain by home time!
Back door is open and I can hear all the birds calling. I wish I could spend the day in the garden. But there is so much work to be done, better not.
I hope DGD will get up and be ready today as I have the dentist at 9am
And I hope I am not there long as I'm supposed to open at 9.30. Luckily the dentist is only 4 doors down. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Another letter from the council. I thought hurry they have re-assessed my claim. However it still is not right. The Tax Credits have been altered from yesterday as I had told them that my childcare costs had reduced by £17 a week. Due to her going to her Mum more regularly.
However there must be other tax credit changes as totalling the two figures together actually reduce my payments from them by £45 odd a week. So not sure what the calculations are yet.
The change to the Housing benefit this week means that I will only get 13.56 for this week, and £16.83 next week until December.
In real terms that means I need to find £101.83 rent this week, out of a my money, which has also just gone down £45 odd a week. This is not calculating the Council Tax which will come in another letter tomorrow perhaps.
So things will be very tight unless I can draw £75 a week every week from the shop.
We will have £105.95 a week to pay everything after the rent. So I need the £75. Minimum.
Of course this may all change again, with any luck when my claim is re-assessed calculating my childcare costs in.
I think I will be juggling for quite some time to come.
But at least it's not got worse. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
When there is a change to a benefit like Tax Credits the HB/CTB system updates it automatically without human intervention hence the letters have been sent now while you are still waiting for other work to be done (which does require human intervention).
Fingers crossed they sort your letter and evidence soon.0 -

Well we will see. Don't understand why the change in the past never happened? Waiting 2 years seems very odd. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
