Mooloo, do you think a trip to the doctors may help you? With the sleepless nights and the lack of concentration you mention it sounds like you may be suffering from anxiety, plus the thoughts of paracetamol overdosing are really concerning. I suffer with anxiety and I had the sleeplessness, the spinning head, forgetfulness, and negative thoughts before I went to the GP, sadly it took me to completely freak out and get an emergency appointment. I hope you don't mind me saying this, I am so much better now as I am on a low dose of medication but looking back I had the symptoms for a long time and never realised it xx

I think I will be fine. I just want a break.
I have planned to shut up shop 1st Week of August.
DGD is going to be with her Mum from 21st July. Then I will only have just 10 days to work etc and only myself to care about.
My biggest worry after the debt shock is my arm. I'm sure that that is stress based. And that is worrying in its own right.
I weened myself off of 30 or was it 31 tablets a day when I regained the majority of my health, and I don't want to go back to that.
I'm having the day off at home today. After the school run I will do the last coat of paint in the bathroom and while that is drying, using the information everyone has given me, I will sort out the council evidence etc I need for my appeal.
My friend is still looking for a late deal holiday on Teletext Holidays etc. So I may even still get away.
    I am hoping anyway.
If we can't then a week at home without the alarm clock may just have to do.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I`m so sorry you`ve had a run of bad luck lately, with the car and the finances. No wonder you`re stressed, but take it easy with painting till your arm feels better. I do hope your appeal goes well, I just wanted to post to say (((HUGS))) & stay positive.

I only had to put a quick coat on the two walks 1m up from the skirting board where the housing had replaced the plaster. And I used my other arm.
    Luckily I am ampidexterous (spelling?).
I had to learn to use my opposite hand when in the Convent, as Nuns said left handed was the sign of the devil. And then when my illness effected my left side I had to once again adapt.
I can just about sew with both hands these days.
I have been out for a break. Wandered round the charity shop and the Antique Cellars.
Time for a quick cuppa and the get DGD and her friend from school.

Head is now full of facts and figures.
I've done a rough letter to the Council and sent it to EEto have a read.

Tomorrow I have an appointment with the accountant so that I can see if I can make any improvement on my accounts and if there is anything I am missing.
My new tax credit award has arrived, and after allowing for an adjustment ongoing I will now be able to redo my budget for now.
I am going to work things out with my not being allowed HB and CTC and if I can juggle that, then I will be in a good place to move forward with any over payments they still charge me.
I went for a walk and called into the Antique Cellar and while there I had a chat with one of the clothing dealers. He was interested to know that I did repairs etc and when he gets damaged clothes he now may bring them to me for repairs.
I went in for furniture wax.

Ok. Budget for the rest of the year done. ( as far as I can).
It will be tough adjusting, but now I am calculating paying all my own bills, the current arrears, and the credit cards etc.
When new calculations come in then I will be able to adjust accordingly and go back to paying higher money into the credit cards, and eventually go back to savings and holiday/investment funds.

It will change. But with all my extra's cancelled now, it won't do me any harm.
The biggest challenge will be to get my Spend on food and extra down into the figures I have allowed.
So back to the Menu Planning etc.
Cancelling the organic food if necessary and having an online shopping delivery every fortnight instead of shopping daily as I'm doing at the moment.
Time to retreat now, and give myself a few Frugal challenges, to help me focus on rebuilding my self.
I'm tired and will be going to bed soon as I get DGD to bed.

Struggling with my health at the moment.
Stress has finally reared its ugly head in the left arm.
Pain from tip of fingers up arm and into left side of my face.
Worked as well as I could but now aware of the fact that I have pushed my self to the limits.
Saw the accountant today. To be honest I think he is a waste of time.
But I apparently need one to agree my accounts are real,
The local school sent a teacher to come and see the Work Experience girl today. They booked a 1pm appointment so I sent her for an early Lunch. The teacher arrived mid sandwich at 12.20.
40 minutes early. She is obviously not aware of the impact of that on a business point of view. I was not able to stop and the poor girl had her lunch interrupted.
If she had been an appointment booked in most businesses and turned up early she would probably have been kept waiting.
    I despair these days.
I also had to change my lunch time which interrupted my flow of work. What impression is that to the next generation?

    Says who??

I love the comments which accountants come up with to gain clients!!!

I have been doing mine and DH's tax returns for years and never have HMRC asked me to confirm they are real.

Maybe a charity or Ltd company is different but a sole trader/self employed person does NOT have to have an accountant.

    Hi Mooloo,
I'm sorry to hear that times are tough for you right now. I just popped on to say that I think your accountant is at it, I do my own tax returns every year and have never had to prove they are genuine. I use the online system and it's fine.
In fact, I was also randomly chosen to have my record keeping audited and passed with flying colours, despite no formal business education.
Hope things start looking up for you soon.

I'm feeling better about it all today, and even happier that my friend and I are going to have a week away when the shop shuts and DGD is with her Mum in Kent.
I am ecstatic that my friend and I are going to Cyprus where we were at school together in the 1970's.
We are going to explore old haunts, enjoy the Sunshine and worry about everything else when we return.
I am very Lucky as my friend is paying for the hotel, and I already have Euros in my purse left from Easter.
I have started to get used to not having a car, walking etc although I don't think that I would like it in the Winter. But that's a while off yet.
