Mooloo's little tapestry of life, 2016

Luckily I have my emergency fund to cover this months leap in payments to the rent. So it gives me a breather to tweek things.
I'm in two minds to use the car money to pay down some debt into the credit cards. So the monthly repayments can eventually snowball across. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo, wishing you the best of luck. Though not sure but don't think your ctc &wtc will go down due to your "low profits" you do great Xx..
As for housing&council tax they do make mistakes.
Hope it all works out , you've done amazing.0 -
EE has had some of the info that I've received. And I have not been allowed the childcare allowances since I came off of ESA and went SelfEmployed in 2013. So when the council receive that information, that will Kick start another calculation.
I'm just waiting to receive the updated information from Tax Credits that my Renewal has brought up. Then I will also provide them with that.
When I moved from long term sick, I had a disability element to my claim. This has been removed. Which makes £31.85 a week difference.
So going through it with a fine tooth comb at the moment. The problem is there are so many pages of calculations, all varying sometimes over just the period of one day!!!
I do feel better since EE has been intouch. Although I'm mentally and physically exhausted.
The pain in my neck and arms seem to have come back with avengance, but it's probably always been the same, I'd just been able to cope and pain management better. Now my defences are low it's hurting. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Very glad EE is helping you sort out the paperwork, Mooloo. :T
The more I read about the benefits system, the more determined I am to avoid it like the plague (even though my health has deteriorated a lot over the last six months).
Can I suggest you look into GP again, to ease the pain in your neck and arm? ..Need to make another batch m'self; my spine feels completely seized today - only have enough GP left for m' dear geriatric dog atm (can really see the results in her if she misses more than one dose!).0 -
Well the ceiling has been painted white.
But the walls are going to need preparing as the paint is peeling in places where my decals where. My friend helped, bus has had to go now before Silverstone traffic starts again.
I've also started with the first coat of paint in the bathroom where the plaster was chipped off etc and replaced.
DGD has gone to the park with Molly41's daughter. She's just back from University. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Feeling calmer and more in control.
Concerntrating on the things I can do in the house, a bit of Grand Prix earlier, then some tennis.
Roasting carrots, pepper, potatoes and onions with some basil infused olive oil and chicken breast for our evening meal.
DGD is playing in the garden with her friend dispite the rain!
The washing is luckily under cover with the dryline. So all is not list.
The bathroom is Aqua marine again. But think will need a second coat tomorrow and some wood painting to do.
Spoke to my brother in France. Mums gone back to my sisters for another 2 weeks. Looks like she's coming home in August now. Think she's wanting to come home and sew again.
Haven't told my family about the hiccup on Friday.
I didn't tell my friend here either. I did tell Staff on Saturday, as I was still an emotional wreck then.
Now EE has had a quick look at my paperwork, well some of it. We think that there are going to be more adjustments before we know exactly where we are. But I have calmed down. I will just have to do without a car.
I say just. But it is difficult, my bones ache, and it's so tiring. But plenty people don't have cars and although I have had a car since I was 18 years old. I will get used to the confines of walking. I may even learn to use a thing called a bus. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning is coming round all to fast these days. With the windows open the sound of the birds singing at full throttle woke me up earlier. Weird dreams afterwards woke me up about 6am
My alarm has just gone now, so no more trying to sleep.
I'm wondering what the post will bring today, but it is now coming later in the day so I will have to wait till after work.
Staff is coming in extra, originally as I was going to look at some cars today, but now it was a decision to show the work experience girl the ropes, while I catch up on the sewing as Friday and Saturday were not very productive days.
She will change her times at the end of the week.
The last full week at school for DGD.
I'm going to try and be positive. Difficult as it is.
Now the DDs have been stopped the council can't take more money than I can afford and will have to settle for what I give them.
I have until 4th August to get the appeal done.
But today I will send over the childcare costs so they can begin with that. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
My arm and neck is not very good today. So my sewing was slower than usual. I struggled with the awkward hem on a dress which slowed me even more.
I also tried to do the accounts but the laptop kept freezing so it's not exactly been one of my better days!
I hope tomorrow will be a better day.
I'm doing porkchops for tea. In the oven as I'm trying to find my second wind, and can't really be bothered to stand over the stove at the moment. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Didn't paint my bathroom as my arm hurts.
Spent the evening looking out and filing papers ready for battle.
Really confused as Tax Credits have made two random payments into my account this week, not due a payment until tomorrow?
I presume that the papers will eventually follow. But for now I really don't understand what is going on.
I'm awaiting the council to return my call and advise me as to wether I can forward information via email to anyone. I obviously don't want to email to enquires as no idea who would get my information.
Time for the school run. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just a thought. Council tax reduction - I think nowadays you may have to apply for this, i.e. they don't automatically give it to you anymore.0
