Mooloo's little tapestry of life, 2016

Last full day here in Cyprus. The not so sunny all year Island as advertised!
But we cannot do anything about the weather.
Mum has visited all the places that she and I can think of except Coral Bay, so if the rain stops today I will aim to go there.
Staff and her family arrived out here somewhere in the Coral Bay Area late last night so we may manage to catch up with a drink or something later.
the hire car is collected at 6pm today so I will need to top up the tank a little. I put €40 in yesterday when we were up near Larnaka as I had reached the red on the tank.
I have done some miles /km this week, considering that at home I drive about 50 miles a week.
I better get moving and go for breakfast.
Here is hoping for some sun todayWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Posted long post this morning and lost it in cyber space.
At the Airport waiting to come home.
the noise is terrible as we were put in the amusement area!
Mum is having a fit at the noise. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I hope you enjoyed your break Mooloo, even though the weather wasn't as you'd have hoped x0

Morning from a very frosty Towcester. Not quite the 13 or so degrees of Cyprus.
I think that I can safely say that we had a very successful holiday despite the weather.
All places we wanted to see done, at least to some degree. The local sausages devoured as longed for.
Miles covered.
the only fly in the ointment was the delay to the flight and the turbulence along with several idiotic people sat around us delaying departure even further by not strapping their child in its seat. "Not until the baby had finished its bottle " it was also a bit of a nightmare for mum as a large smelly man was in the seat beside her, overspilling over Mum, especially when he fell asleep!
the turbulence was not brilliant and for the first time in 36 years I was airsick. 0nly just managed to get past said large person and to the loo in time! We arrived in the U.K. At just after 1am.
We got home to Mum's at 4am!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Aw hate crap flights - nothing worse.
At least your both home now. x0 -
All recovered and getting back to normal at home.
I have caught up with my washing and its drying all over the place!
I went for a walk to the shops and bought a few supplies.
I have spent the rest of the day working on my Business plan and the goals and targets for the next quarter.
I have not yet thought of a new thread for 2017
I suppose that I better tell you that I am still in contact with the BF. I didn't really expect for him to get back to me after the text embargo, but he actually met me face to face and has admitted that he had been thinking about himself and not us, but that as I had exited it had made him actually think about what he wanted, what he would like to do, etc so I have listened and I have deliberated while I was away with Mum, and I have decided to see if the options we discussed would work.
He is going to come here more often and we are going to go back to Osford and commute a couple of days. Spending more time together with dgd as well and putting plans into action to move in together with in a specified time scale depending on DGDs schooling.
We would need to make sure she was moved by Sept 2019 when she starts secondary school.
We have discussed my business and my goals to renew my lease for a further 3 years, and my focus to get my self a decent enough wage that will cover my pension and my personal and DGDs expenses. Although that is more my want then his. He said to live together ASAP.
But that would set us up for a fall, and it needs stages, goals and to trust that the plans will work and that old misunderstandings, assumptions and the rest are sorted out.
I know that your all shouting at me now but please understand that I have always loved him and my family are behind my decisions as it has been well discussed this last 10 days.
Please can you respect my decision and not condemn me or him for wanting to get things right between us.
If either of us slip back into the two nights a week habit and not talking then you can tell me off as much as I would then deserve or expect.
I am hoping that my friends here will support my decision and wish us happiness and for a better future together.
On that note I am going to get dressed etc ready for a meeting in the pub while dgd is away.
I hope tonight is the start of a new relationship between us and a great 2017
Happy New Year! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
