Thanks peeps!
Poor Mum was sick again last night.
I think that it might have been just too much rich food etc but I don't know. She slept well afterwards though.
Yesterday we went back to Limassol and found the house we lived in in 1967, and the restaurant we used to go to a lot. Although it was closed up now. We had a cuppa on the beach opposite and then drove back again. I don't mind driving though.
I am hoping for a relaxing day here near the hotel today though.
Maybe a drive up the coast if the sun comes out again.
I have been listening to my mum telling me such fascinating stories of her life, even of my granny's life as a young woman who went to sea at age 16. in the 1920's
I wish I had a dictaphone with me!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
The winds are high and the sky is grey. It looks like rain so we had a little drive to the harbour and had a coffee etc but came back to the room and are resting, watching films on the tv.
Having a lazy day then. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Such as shame the weather seems to be against you right now. Unexpected I guess as I spent Xmas/NY in Egypt a few years ago and the weather was glorious. Not too hot but warm enough to wear sundress/shorts etc.
Was lovely to hear about you sharing stories with your mum. These moments and memories are invaluable. I didn't get the opportunity, unfortunately, as my mum died before I really got to know her.
Hope the weather picks up and you enjoy the rest of your holiday, you deserve it xx0 -
We spent the day watching tv.
A film called John Q, then BBC 1 countryfile etcz just watched Brave. Now we are going down to dinner as we missed lunch.

Morning from another wet day in Cyprus. The rain in the night was quite torrential. I am hoping that the sun will eventually come out today. I am not sure what we can do except maybe go for a drive just to look at the scenery. For now it's time for breakfastWhen I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
