Good Morning Wombles!!
The sun is shining, the birds are tweeting, all my kids were up before 7am complaining about the light, so I transferred the rest of the house deposit. Now feeling antsy as I got used to seeing a nice + figure and now I am back to 'normal'.
Had an amazing YS haul at the blue supermarket last night. Lots of the 3 for £4 vegetable packs were down to 11p, plenty of watercress, mushrooms, salad, apples, clementines, chinese stir fry packs, baby sweetcorn, courgettes, I spent £2,40 and had an enormous bulging bag full. So my fridge and fruit bowl look very healthy this Easter, which is good, as each kid has already got 2 big Easter Eggs through the post from friends of mine (bless them).
Kids Club at the Odeon has 3 films every day this week (£2.50 a ticket) and mine have not seen The Minions film yet so will take them along with a bag of supermarket popcorn - did you know if the cinema has a branded cafe/shop then you can take your own snacks in without having to hide them? As they have agreed to an outside agency providing snacks, they can't be funny with you if you BYO! You also dont need to take a child, if you don't have one and just like kids films. But you probably knew that.
Had to lend DS1 £1 as he was chatting to the school librarian about books, and she whipped out a cardboard box full and said if he brought in 10p per book he could have whatever he wanted. He had a rummage and found a few he wanted for himself, but wanted to buy some he thought his little brothers would like! So even if he was spending someone else's money, he had thought about his brothers.
DH is off camping with his friends again this Easter so I am single parenting until Tuesday.
And of course the dreaded trip into the town centre for them to spend their interest loot. Won't be so bad now I know my way around a little more, at least I don't have to take the bus (£8 family ticket) and I can park on a street bay for £3. All the things you have to relearn when you are in a new city.
Have a great day fellow wombles4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Welcome BouncyBubbles
Went to pick up DS today and bring him home for a week's stay. He had two melons that needed using up so we brought them home with us. I've now got lots of fruit to use up. I made a couple of apple and pear crumbles for the freezer from yesterday's free fruit.
I spotted a big pot of change on my son's desk in his flat. He has gotten into the habit of emptying his pockets of change into a pot each evening. He had no idea what to do with it so we brought it home. DS thought there was about twenty quid in there but after counting it there was over £56 in there. He was really shocked but chuffed at his unexpected windfall. His Dad kindly swapped the change for notes and he donated the £1.32 in coppers and 5p to me.
I reckon I'm up around £4.32 today but that isn't even going to go anywhere near the extra food and energy that having DS home brings. Good job I love him to bits!Stashbusting 2019 - 230/3000 -
Hi all good evening. I hope you are all enjoying the one Easter weekend.
I'm off work starting today til the 22nd of April (4 weeks yay!). Had a nice relaxed start of my long break - long lie in, followed by breakfast prepared by ds2, decluttered my sewing stash and organised my sewing boxes. I managed to make/finish 2 breastfeeding/nursing covers for my sister in law, one of which was made from the musliny fabric that I wombled from my sewing class, I repaired 2 pairs of work trousers (saved myself at least £12 by doing it myself), and I also made 3 tote bags. I have a few more projects lined up during my holiday/break. Watch this space.
Hubby gave 2 receipts for perfume and cologne for my MIL and FIL respectively. He saved a total of £20 by using various different coupons that he had in hand and also earned quite a bit of A
b@@ts points, which is now up to £13.27 which we can use for later,
I also uploaded a few receipts picked up from the shops last night, giving us a total of 18p cash back."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
