Does it definitely work that way though? If you are having a receipt added on does that capture the rest of the data for them or not. I'd be interested to know. Sounds like someone was in for a good weekend :)

Yes it does, that is how they send you the money off coupons on the things that you use most often. Or at least they used to. So all the data on the receipt gets matched up to activity on your card account. Some of the receipts I have wombled! ( 2 x 14 packs of lager and a pack of pampers) they must really wonder about me and my family. :rotfl::rotfl: Small pleasures eh?

The thing is, wombling screws with the data they use from your clubcard. So it makes them less accurate when targeting a certain demographic.
So the receipt I wombled with 14x ladies underwear, 6x condoms, bar of chocolate, and bottle of vodka now puts me in a different section to the barely drinking mum of 4 who usually buys party rings and jammy dodgers.

(I admit when I looked at the receipt I thought ' well I know what you're up to this weekend madam!' )

And there were masses of receipts in the trolley rack this morning. Will wait and see if they all get 'tidied' up quicker in the next week or so.....

The receipt makes you look like a right lush!:rotfl:
    This really made me laugh!:D

  • I had a good wombling day today. I went to Mr S and got a few good YS bargains, plus I fell in love with a new pair of work trousers there so got them on my points (£14). Also wombled a receipt left behind at my self service till for 15 bonus points.

Bobs, my wombled total is conservatively rounded down to £250 as of the second week of Feb.

Got a draft contract in the post for the new house today, still no firm decision on mortgage though.......... I hate waiting.... My buildings survey and valuation booked for tomorrow..... it all looks like it will be going ahead!
    EXCITED:j I am now officially a nightmare:rotfl:

Took the kids to the adventure playground this morning, out for just over an hour and a half. Cost about 10p in petrol, they ran about over frosty puddles and jumped in mud. A lot. Whilst whining about a) the weather b)their brothers c)why they had to leave the house in the first place, but #1 and #2 had a lovely conversation about whether Cyanide or Arsenic would be their prefered choice if planning on killing each other:(

Which I managed to turn into a literary discussion on Agatha Christie and then got in the science bit about how each works on the body (biology) and the benefits/disadvantages, and how to make it from plum stones. So I reckon that was chemistry. :p

Or I may be a deluded fool, either or!
